Karl Hanff is my father in name only, I never knew him and he didn’t raise me. Neither has he ever done anything for me, he is a stranger to me. My father was Michael Edward Harding, he died in 1998.

His father is not dead yet … I worked with him in the Ukraine and Russia, several years ago, and ‘ran into him’ in Poland and in Prague only a few months ago.

Please accept this post as genuine. I am totally dumfounded by the several postings which appear to be little more than URLs for porn sites. Is there anyone who is willing to take a moment to explain to me the rationale or reasoning behind all of that?

On the surface, it would seem to serve to no purpose whatsoever; yet it appears as though someone went to a great deal of trouble to compile all of that, then to post it in reply to the interview with Alex Hanff. I learned a very long time ago not to idly go skipping over the Internet dropping in or URLs drudged up from some arcane posting or spam or other questionable sources; so I don’t really care to try to satisfy my curiosity about these enigmatic postings that way.

I have found, generally, that MOST people who post to a P2P site are responsible and give serious thought to their comments or observations. There are, of course, others who spew their drivel in a reckless fashion with no other intent than maliciousness. And I have found that those who take the time to give serious thought to the problems we face are usually helpful; so I am asking for just a little insight. All input will be greatly appreciated.

If this hasn’t already been covered, good luck Alex, I think you’ll need it when you engage someone who is clearly not a qualified lawyer to represent you.

From the site’s Terms of Engagement:

“We are lawyers but not solicitors so the standard of our work for you is that of the non-qualified lawyer. ”

In the UK there is no such thing as a “lawyer” in England. You are either a solicitor, a solicitor (non-practising) (i.e. you are qualified but hold no Practicing Certificate) or a Barrister. These guys sound like they have nothing more than a law degree, if that.

P.S. Cowardly nothing; I just haven’t got time to register on a site to point out the blindingly obvious.

so the point of the article is everything that happens to Hanff is not his fault? Wahhh! He had a lousy childhood, he got busted running a website that infringed copyrights, it’s always someone else’s fault be it a stepdad, admin of a website, “unfair copyright laws”, the register etc.

Grow yourself a sack, be a man and accept some responsibility.

Firstly for catflaps last statement its one of the best and truest ive ever heard and the interview was great weve given it a link on my site for the rest of the members to come read.

For Alex were behind you 110% mate, and Kevin. You and Kevin are taking all of us with you and fighting for all our rights and no matter what the outcome will be heroes to us all for being the ones to take these pricks on and show them we have rights to.

Now for the people that are not showing the support for these two heroes of our p2p world if we all get burnt by something do we just curl up and die and never trust anyone or anything ever again. No or we would still be in the stoneages. I was a part of bds-palace and if Kevin gave them what they want my name would be included on the court papers where it says does 1-10 and i trust him and he has helped me alot even tho there has been a few rough spots in our friendship and i have donated to help him as i believe that Kevin and Alex are true people that ARE going to take this all the way and ARE going to beat these fat cat corporate pigs that are trying to take away our rights.
