Hardly a big affair tbh all real MOD locations are not connected to the web and thus this is just a simple third party server being messed with, once you know this it sort of makes those behind this look a lot more lame.
I often post on slycks regarding why its not a good idea to mix military and civilian comms traffic as they do in the US, anyone in the trade will tell you that simply using private leased lines to locations stops this stupidity a lot faster than any firewall, the UK banks also use the leased line method and unsuprisingly none are ever compromised, just how long does it take for some to understand that seperate means seperate and not “lets try a different firewall or server software”, this is especially important when you look at all the talk of stealing folks rights under the guise of defending against the so called “cyber threat”, however by using private leased lines that are not connected to the internet there is no cyber threat, but perhaps thats too simple for some to comprehend or perhaps they choose the power grab knowing the truth of the matter.
