"Looks more like some lame advertisement and an excuse for getting some coverage on p2pnet."

It saddens me that we as a society have gotten so cynical. Questioning the motives of a free, open source, not-for-profit community. There are other for profit p2p *companies* that have multiple people in their marketing department whose soul job is to get their program noticed by as many people as possible so that they can make more money. This is not the case here. It is a public service to the Shareaza community and perhaps if people who aren't part of the community are interested they will find it informative or enjoyable as well.

Maybe it being posted on P2PNET wasn't the best thing but that's for P2PNET to decide what content they want to publish.

"Well, they don't seem to have many news to report in the first place (judging from their first issue)."

Thats not the point. Its only meant to be a run-down of recent happenings with Shareaza development. Shareaza is certainly not the first project to do this.

"Looks more like some lame advertisement and an excuse for getting some coverage on p2pnet."

And Shareaza is the only client to do this, I suppose? I see LimeWire in the news often enough for trivial things. And what about when BearShare got partial filesharing? 'bout time!

capitalization and punctuation is irrelavent to the point I made. But I'm glad you are so well versed in the ways of microsoft word's grammar check, which Im sure you checked every which way so you could make your lame point.

It's in the spirit of the Debian Weekly News which you can read here: http://www.debian.org/News/weekly/

As a community it is good to help the spread of information in many different ways so that everyone no matter their level of interest (be it fanboy or casual, curious visitor) in the community can become involved in it and keep up to date.

Also it is Shareaza not "Sharaza". Sharaza is some sort of spyware program that is completely unrelated to Shareaza. I'd suggest you brush up on capitalization and punctuation as well.
