The Beatles on Amazon …

p2pnet view Music:- Under the Amazing but True heading, Applelytes will be led like lambs to the slaughter, allowing themselves to be ripped off by Steve & Co, paying $1 and up (way up) for ancient Beatles files which’ve already been online for free for many years.

But that means soon, the Beatles will also be listed on additional corporate music ‘services’ supplied and nurtured by the Big 4 organised music cartel.

Correct?

“I asked EMI when we could expect to see The Beatles to also be available via Amazon and other digital retailers”, says Bruce Houghton on Hypebot.

But, “Apparently, the answer is not anytime soon”, he says, adding:

“The Beatles are ‘exclusive with iTunes into 2011,’ an EMI spokesperson told Hypebot this morning. That leaves Jobs & CO the sole beneficiary of any Beatles Christmas sales bump. Score another victory for Cupertino.”

Apple to Apple, dust to dust.

EMI can use all the help it can get.

No need to stay tuned.
