Xbox 360 secrets revealed
p2pnet.net News:- Bill Gates says he’ll do a Steve Jobs and sue TeamXbox and Engadget for revealing details of the new Xbox 360, as it’ll apparently be called, ten days before its official release.
Not really.
But Engadget is reproducing some interesting, and extremely detailed, data for the new Xbox 360, as well as info on Xbox Live.
“These could be completely fake,” says Engadget, but they’re “semi-plausible” and were posted and then “quickly pulled” from the TeamXbox forums.
“The part about it having a 20GB detachable hard drive seems a little sketch, since we’d heard something about it being a 40GB drive, but the rest of it seems to make sense,” says Engadget.
“You have exactly 77 hours to argue over whether or not these are for real.”
Among other things, Xbox 360 will play music from portables, view images from digital camera and stream media from Windows XP, says Engadget.
When details about to Apple’s Mac mini and Asteroid, ‘breakout box’ appeared in PowerPage, AppleInsider and Think Secret, Apple boss Jobs sicced his law teams onto the webpubs because they had the temerity to reveal the data without Jobs’ say-so.
His action has become a major issue centering on freedom of the press.

Maybe it will last for a few days past a year before the dvd+r only drive fails. Or…maybe the 360 refers to how many version updates will happen before you can play the games properly. Or…It could refer to the physical volume of the unit in cubic meters.
I wonder why anyone would put out a new console that will be doomed by High cap disc (blue-ray or dvd hd) capable machines? The dreamcast is as far as you have to look. When it was released, it broke single day sales records. They moved many units, yet it was short lived. The PS2 and Xbox were right on it’s heels with DVD capable machines. DC turned to dust and forced Sega into fulltime game development(which I dint mind because I love Sega games).
I believe that Micrsoft will remove themselves from the console market with this ’sorta’ updated machine. I guess the Hard Drive could make up some difference. Though, I dont want to buy a game that is 2 or 3 dvd 9’s and have to transfer to HD. Maybe they will do an external High Cap drive, but that’s hardly a good solution.
