UW won’t ban i2hub

p2pnet.net News:- The University of Washington-Seattle says it won’t try to, “prohibit peer-to-peer applications often used for illegal file sharing”, according to The Daily.

Early last month the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) approached the UW about three UW network users who were using i2hub for, “sharing copyrighted music over a high-speed Internet backbone between universities,” says the story.

The university, “responds to allegations of illegal activity on its networks using educational initiatives and the enforcement of policies and procedures, the letter said.

But it won’t, "prohibit use of applications over which copyrighted songs and movies are shared".
