p2pnet view P2P | Politics:- Today is “Internet Strikes Back” day — 24 hours after members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee held a hearing to unveil legislation designed to roll back current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Net Neutrality rules and prohibit the Commission from enacting future rules.
Today members of the public are being asked to call their member of Congress to “counter Congressional opposition to a fair and open Internet”, says Public Knowledge, which is organising the campaign.

If passed, this repeal wouldn’t just scrap the rules–it would also prevent the agency from taking action on this important issue in the future.
Without this framework, internet service providers will be free to discriminate against users, services and types of traffic at will.
And Sign our student letter”, says PK. “If you’re a student, please sign our student letter to Congress. We’ll deliver this letter to Members of Congress at the end of the month, in order to demonstrate that students all over the country support net neutrality.”
