MPAA in new NYPD raid
p2pnet.net News:- MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) pseudo-cops have again “assisted” the New York Police Department (NYPD) in CD/DVD counterfeit raid.
“We are rooting out these DVD thieves one by one and tracking their networks in order to shut down illegal DVD and CD pirate operations,” says Jim Spertus, an ex-assistant US attorney who’s now one of the people who runs the MPAA’s US anti-piracy SWAT squad.
“The New York Police Department has been instrumental and vigilant in pursuit of these thieves and we appreciate their continued effort.”
No doubt the NYPD was suitably gratified by Spertus’ praise.
“During the investigation, the NYPD’s 1st Precinct Peddler Unit contacted the Legal Bureau to request a Nuisance Abatement Order for the location,” says the MPAA. “This is a method employed by the NYPD to padlock the location and inhibit the subjects from returning at a later date.”
The MPAA and RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) have lately taken to working together, but there was no mention of the music cartel faux police on this raid.

You would think in a big place like THE BIG APPLE knowing how unstaffed the NYPD is you would think they got better things to pursue like murder rape major drug dealing and violent gangs and other perverted geeks and other violent things.
By the way the NYPD is famous for corruption and officers in the field take kickbacks and bribes from people on a frequent basis.
The NYPD is famous for street officers having throwaway pistols in their socks for their next FUCKUP……………………
