While there are some amazing acts that are signed to labels (much fewer today than in previous decades), most of what is going to be released is shit. So great, you can hear shit with a 24-bit DAC instead of 16-bit.

All this really means is you’ll more clearly be able to identify it is shit.

It’s about time the music industry realized they should have sold lossless music a long time ago. In this day and age the mp3 is dying and everything is going to WAV, AIFF, FLAC, etc.

24 bit is better quality than the 16 bit CD quality. I will be happy to pirate all my favorite music again in 24 bit up from 16 bit.

… and add a Monster cable to your solution, while you are at it. I heard that these sub-$10 cables made in China are not able to transport 24 bits.
