Yahoo Music Unlimited …
p2pnet.net News:- It’s now been seven days sinceYahoo was told about a gaping hole in its Yahoo Music Unlimited service, but it’s apparently done nothing to patch it.

As p2pnet was the first to report, the hack was discovered by Robert Chapin, owner of Chapin Information Services in Michigan.
CIS warned Yahoo its beta download program could be exploited and mp3s downloaded for free, but without any appreciable effect.
“We’re still testing the Yahoo Music system approximately two times each day to monitor the vulnerability of the music data,” Chapin says.
“We did receive and confirm e-mails from Yahoo on Monday acknowledging our security report.”
Yahoo’s DRM-locked WMA downloads go for a $5-a-month subscription.
Songs can be transferred to “subscription-compatible devices” except iPods, or for 79 cents, burned to a CD.

Of course, if you have something like Total Recorder, you can just rip the selection off the analog side of your audio card as it’s playing to a .wav file or convert to .mp3 on the fly if your CPU has enough torque, bypassing the inconvenience of the 79 cents and having a copy of your selection free of potentially irritating embedded hassles.
Or just connect the ‘Line Out’ of your soundcard to your father’s old TEAC Reel-to-reel.
