Readers’ Contributions – April 27, 2011

FuxAnonymousBustedp2pnet view P2P:- I guess it’s time for a fresh contributions page, eh?

For those not acquainted with the Readers’ page, just use the comments section below to post links and point other readers to anything currently happening you think they should be aware of.

I did make reference to following up on the selective ones by posting them in more detail on their own pages, and I really have the intentions to do that.  Unfortunately, between double-shifting at work and a few other things, it’s been impossible to find the time.

So, as I’ve said before, anyone else is welcome to create a post as well, and send your content to p2pnet@shaw.ca , and it will be forwarded to me.  Throwing together a p2pnet page with content that’s basically already created requires far less time than digging up the content and doing the creative writing where needed.

Big Canadian releases today as Canada prepares to vote for a new government.

Canada: WikiLeaks releases over 1,800 cables talking about Canada. 1000s more this week http://wikileaks.ch/tag/CA_36.html

Implicates Liberals, The Bloc and of course the Harper Conservatives bowing to US pressure to make a US type of copyright system.

*NO* mainstream media is reporting on it in Canada.

  5. Anonymous Says:

Guys, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking out those 1,800 Canada cables just released from Wikileaks.

I told you UBB and C-32 were total scams. Now we have confirmation. Surprise surprise, the talking heads over at Canwest and CTV tried to convince you otherwise, but here we can see the media-cartels and their politico friends (particularly in the Conservative Party and Liberal Party) are conspiring to create draconian laws and ELIMINATE your online freedoms in the name of increased profits.

With trillions of future revenue at stake, expect the corporate authoritarians to continuously attack your online freedom. They won’t stop until they have the ability to track, trace, and then ruin lives over something as stupid as sharing files.

Of course, if you want your country to keep getting raped and pillaged by US and Canadian corporate old-media cartels, then keep ignoring everything and watching the talking heads on TV feed you more BS.

Your forefathers would have killed to protect these freedoms, yet now most won’t even get off the sofa in the face of imminent threat.

    Reader’s Write;
history teaches us that those with the power of knowledge usually win over commoners by hiding their knowledge and only releasing that which benefits them
the truth is; all men and women have The Right to ALL knowledge to have the power of Choice and so not be swayed by propaganda and lies

in all systems before this one Monarchy, governments, their agents, armies, merchants and rest were all servants/slaves to Us. Their main service was to educate everyone about ALL knowledge. This time they have grown powerful enough to kill us off. This is unacceptable.

it has been discussed at length around the world for many centuries and only solution is to seize them, expose and spread knowledge they hide, try them by ways they used on us and with Full exposure of facts Publicly to make them servants/slaves again. it must be done in one full swoop and with guns if need be
“eradicate” them only makes their offspring call for vengeance later

Remedy; each one of them takes an oath. you must find this oath and hold them to it before you have any lawful or legal interaction with them – whether it be a cop, judge, lawyer, attorney, politician or whomever
if they stay silent or refuse to produce their oath you can arrest them under Common Law, and Common Law / Law of the Land / Law of the People always trumps anything “legal”
don’t ever fall for their arguments of “it can be argued …” or “i say …” or “i’m telling you …” or “i order you …”
if you know you have been Lawful they have no standing to do anything to you
if you know your Rights and exercise them properly you put them back into being a servant, this means you must know them well enough not to use a lawyer or attorney and have Community as your witness/es, 2 or more honourable men and or women, hopefully with video cameras – hidden or not – though these days hidden is safer

Yeah I agree. There was this one time (in my previous life) when I was in court for failing to pay taxes. I asked the judge to state his oath and he looked at me weird and remained silent. So I arrested him under common law. When the bailiff drew his gun as I arrested the judge I asked the bailiff for his oath. He was silent. So I arrested him under common law as well. As the prosecuting lawyer was running out the door I yelled for his oath. He was also silent. So I arrested him too.

I walked out of court victorious and didn’t have to pay my taxes, but I got shot escorting these people to jail. Oh Well. Now that I am reborn, and with wisdom gained by those who vibrated before me, I now know to walk out of court via the back door with my hostages and ask the sharp shooters for their oath first before going down the stairs to the street.

    http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2011/04/29/18085026.html
The RCMP did arrest one unidentified video pirate in Montreal, but reportedly told U.S. diplomats they only did so “as a personal favour” to an unidentified CMPDA official, one cable suggests.

Dead, as a favour to the Canadian MPAA (CMPDA.ca)

^^^ the corruption in the RCMP never ends. Really, if an officer made an arrest for such reason, they should be taken out back and……

I am so damn sick of these gang-thug cops and the lack of accountability our gov’t and society gives them.

If we had justice, we’d know the name of those responsible for making an arrest as a “favour” to a corporate lobby group. Crap like this can not be tolerated if you wish to remain in a free and just society, and this must be punished from the top down, in a most severe fashion.

I’d bet your local friendly MP has NOTHING to say about this beyond lip-service. They are too busy getting ready to introduce more rape-the-commoners legislation (C-32 among others) once this pesky election is done.

  23. Henry Emrich Says:

    @readers Write/DA:

Proverbs — “Old” or not — are only useful when applied to the correct context.
What is most fascinating to me, is how many “armchair revolutionaries” there seem to be, ESPECIALLY on the Internet, where it’s really easy to hide behind a pseudonym, so as to look all “badass”, but not have to risk actually having to back up your own rhetoric.

This is equally important to understand in the U.S., and other nations — but for different reasons:

    1. A lot of Right-wingers here in the U.S. (mostly radical Christian-reconstructionists, White-power types, “militia” movement, etc.” love to spew revolutionary rhetoric, cherry-pick Jefferson quotes, etc., and blather endlessly about what Sharron Angle would describe as “Second Amendment remedies”. The thing is, if you actually look what happens when the shit eventually DOES go down, it’s pretty obvious that those spouting the rhetoric are:

    A. Completely and utterly out-gunned (do you REALLY think an obese, middle-aged civilian stands shit worth of a chance against a bunch of cops? Bill Cooper (crazy-ass Right-wing radio host from back in the 1990s) got off exactly ONE substantively-useful shot — he shot one of the cops in the head, when the government finally gave him the “confrontation” he wanted.

    B. Completely lacking in anything even resembling a sense of strategy, tactics, or “picking your battles”. (using Bill Cooper as an example again: he didn’t agree with the notion of Income Tax. Instead of playing along so as not to get himself/his family KILLED, such that he could continue to do his radio show, get his information out, and maybe get more people into his ideology, HE elected to essentially go down in an utterly pointless hail of bullets, on the blatantly moronic assumption that being “willing to die for the cause” meant getting himself killed in a completely non-strategic, pointless fashion).
Abbie Hoffman (in “Steal this book”), stated this principle thusly:

“Be clever using section two; clever as a snake. Dig the spirit of the struggle. Don’t get hung up on a sacrifice trip. Revolution is not about suicide, it is about life. With your fingers probe the holiness of your body and see that it was meant to live. Your body is just one in a mass of cuddly humanity. Become an internationalist and learn to respect all life. Make war on machines, and in particular the sterile machines of corporate death and the robots that guard them. The duty of a revolutionary is to make love and that means staying alive and free. That doesn’t allow for cop-outs. Smoking dope and hanging up Che’s picture is no more a commitment than drinking milk and collecting postage stamps. A revolution in consciousness is an empty high without a revolution in the distribution of power. We are not interested in the greening of Amerika except for the grass that will cover its grave.”

    http://stickerz.zaraz.org/lib/hoffmaneng.html

So yeah, by all means, if you’re going down, go down scratching — but pick your battles, for fuck’s sake.

    C. Sarah Palin blathered a lot of bullshit about “second-amendment remedies”, and the Teabaggers were all hung up on (mis-spelled) slogans like “we came unarmed THIS TIME”, but the interesting thing is how quickly the dumb bitch backed away from the revolutionary rhetoric when Jared Loughner REALLY DID excercise his “Second amendment remedies” against a politician he didn’t like (Gabrielle Giffords).

See, this is another thing every wannabe-badass advocate of violent insurrection (“revolution”) needs to understand: you won’t just be battling against the current government. The millisecond YOU start waging your “glorious revolution” against the existing State, others will jump into the mix, and a goodly amount of them won’t share your political/ideological views.
So you’re exceedingly likely to get blown to shit NOT JUST by the State, but by other “revolutionary” factions.

Of course, armchair-revolutionaries don’t (can’t?) read history, learn about strategy, or even think about anything but how “badass” their rhetoric is going to look on some chat-board or forum. It’s the political variant of the “Internet tough-guy” syndrome.

MASS civil disobedience is infinitely preferable — and more successful — as a method of sociopolitical change, than violent insurrection could ever be, specifically because it is (relatively) bloodless.

I’m wondering if Armchair-general RW has an AR-15, several thousand rounds, and enough food stockpiled to survive a standoff?

    No? Then STFU. :)

  28. gabbi Says:

    Henry:
nice thing about america is it’s diversity of cultures. With that said america is also the WORST for educating it’s people about who’s who and what they stand for.

in most part you are correct – in your own way – but i do need to mention you are incorrect about a number of points:
Bill Cooper was not a right winger! Quite the opposite, he was an ex military individual exposing the Feds for all their wrongdoings.
    - he foretold/predicted 9/11, way before it happened and knew whiffs of it about 2 years prior
    - he received numerous leaks from his military contacts that it was being planned by military brass, Rumsfeld, Chaney, old man Bush and the gang, buyers of twin towers and Israelis.
    - as soon as he revealed ‘something’ was going to happen to World Trade Center and ‘possibly’ a false flag attack he was soon eliminated/assassinated by adjoining county police, out of their jurisdiction, paid for by Feds. It was a blatant setup.
    - he started ‘Citizens Agency for Joint Intelligence’ which adhered strictly and explicitly to American Law, not Admiralty Law / Federal Law. It’s purpose is to root out corruption wherever it is found. Security checks for joining it are of the highest and ‘lawful’ standard.

    re: Completely and utterly out-gunned
    - As Jessy Ventura stated: all it would take is 10 special forces trained snipers to start shooting and virtually shut down America. it doesn’t need to be a false flag like 9/11.
    - not too long ago 4 to 6 truck loads of .50 cal sniper rifles went missing from US military, about half went somewhere up into canada
    - you would be amazed at what some communities have for arms and protection: sound cannons, rail guns, lasers, EM canons and much more

    re: Of course, armchair-revolutionaries don’t (can’t?) read history …
    - how many americans have been in military and know strategy like the Art of War and others? how many have taught it to their children?

re: I’m wondering if Armchair-general RW has an AR-15, several thousand rounds, and enough food stockpiled to survive a standoff?
    - actually Millions of Americans do, so do millions of others around the world
    - ever since loss of the gold standard many have been preparing for what’s coming

If you think this is a big joke then start putting the pieces together: big oil poisoning planet, lbig pharma poisoning population, feds spreading diseases – 2,500 labs storing and experimenting on highly infections and deadly viruses in NA when 20 yrs ago there were only 5, unions loosing rights, police becoming militarized, copyright stifling sharing of information and knowledge, loss of rights, toxins being released by industry, only 4% of arable land left, seeds sold are sterile after only one season, animals are force fed massive amount of antibiotics and other junk, bees are dying off, social programs are being cut back and shut down and your money is being used for war and to fill pockets of only few super rich, foreclosures, sun spot activity increasing, earth quake activity increasing, … and the list goes on and on.

What this adds up to is a slow mass genocide by the elites of this world. Like it or not these are the facts.

BTW, that “Armchair general” is me. i just didn’t put a name in at the time. Been around wars all my life on every continent.
    - with all the problems that business, monarchy and shills are causing today i foresee same problems as middle east coming to north america within the next 2 to 5 years. Mass unrest, fights over food, water, arable land …
    - if you are not running a permaculture farm i guarantee you will not have enough to feed yourself and your family

Over the past 50 or so years friends have been building out of the way permaculture farms, land reclamation farms, dome houses, unsinkable self righting ships – some strategically placed on land, stores of everything for minimum of 20 years, all known and hearsay technology with over 100 TB of files and printed info … exactly same or better as Feds and elites have been doing.
While most waste their time with politics, computer games, bullsh*t schools, dead end jobs, silly squabbles and partying they have been doing something productive from information and resources available.
“during peace time prepare for war, during war prepare for peace time” – better idea is to be prepared for both at all times.

Besides Wikileaks and Cryptome here is a website that shows whole picture by news stories, scientific and government facts:
    http://rabbithole2.com/presentation/research.htm

FYI – i detest war and conflict and prefer love and peace
I believe in Liberty and Justice for All .. not just for select few
Family and friends are well protected as most are not registered with the draconian system and are spread out far and wide. I have 5th generation grand kids that are happy and doing well. i’m over 90 and don’t give a sh*t if shills try to kill me while i’m spreading the facts – nor do i care about trolls who try to shut me up, but it’s fun getting them all excited. Once in a while you get one that starts to open their eyes.

    - in whichever country you’re in a Patriot Act or something similar has been implemented
    - police have been given powers to preemptively arrest people
    - ATF and feds in general claim the right to brake into your home and shoot you at will … worry about making up charges afterwards, same for RCMP and some local police departments
    - as you are polish your name is already on a homeland security or fusion center watch list
    - as you are close to canadian US border you are on immigration watch list as well
Only way you are not on one is if you make over 800k per year, live in gated community, part of law enforcement, some part of government or not on the grid / living off the grid and off their radar

American politicians have long believed that Canada is a gateway for illegal immigrants, but an internal U.S. consular memo suggests the gate may be swinging the other way.

A pattern is emerging. A researcher discovers that a product or service offered by a large (generally US-based) company contains a security flaw or a feature that compromises the privacy of internet users. The revelations are confirmed by other experts across the internet. The company responsible then goes through a predictable series of steps: first, “no comment”, followed by indignant denial, then a PR-spun “explanation” and, eventually, an apology of sorts plus a declaration that the bug will be fixed or the intrusive practice terminated. ….

    @gabbi:

    1. Bill was, indeed, a Right-wing conspiracy-monger. He glommed onto the “patriot” movement of the 1990s after having spent the 1980s peddling insane screeds how the U.S. government was purportedly sheltering an extraterrestrial being named “his omnioptent highness Krill”.
    Read up on it sometime.

    2. “Hard currency” isn’t going to do you a goddamn bit of good, in any real crisis situation, because no matter how scarce, uniform, or fungible gold happens to be, it is UTTERLY VALUELESS if nobody is willing to exchange it for goods and services. Hint: in any real crisis, you’ll probably end up either murdered, raped, or eaten. Watch the movie “Threads” ( a documentary-style dramatization of the probable social/political/cultal effects of thermonuclear war), and then get back to me about whether gold — or anything else — has “intrinsic value”. :)

    3. Jesse Ventura is the equivalent of a carnival barker or sideshow freak. The TRUE elite (transnational, corporate oligarchs) absolutely love folks like him, Alex Jones, David Icke, etc., because they keep the masses distracted from asking the REAL questions. Again, I’m not going to waste time hand-holding you through this stuff. Face it: Jesse “The body” Ventura would already be dead, if his owers/corporate backers/those advertising for his CABLE TV SHOW really thought he was any kind of genuine threat.
He damn sure would never have been permitted to become governor of Minnesota. :)
(Or do you really think “they” are powerless/negligent/stupid enough to allow him to

    A. investigate “forbidden”/conspiracy-theory type subjects
    B. EXHIBIT the results of that “research” on A CABLE TELEVISION PROGRAM under-written by many of THEIR OWN corporations?

How can you tell Jesse Ventura is irrelevant? He’s wandering around, spouting off his incoherent babblings on cable TV. Bradley Manning (someone who provided REAL information) remains imprisoned.

I’m not here to debate you on these issues, because you are quite simply, utterly wrong. Further, I have no idea whether you really ARE the “readers write” to whom I was referring, or not. Bottom line: WTF would the “conspiracy” bother with “Black hellicopters” when they have access to the Philadelphia Experiment, and/or the hidden prototypes of Nikola Tesla’s energy weapon? :)

Grow up, Gabbi: Freemasonry, “Skull and Bones”, and Bohemian grove are convenient straw-men, to distract us from the REAL evil-doers: runaway trans-national corporate power.

    l8r, Y’all :)

    - Templars found a machine in Ethiopia that could raise massive stone and obelisks easily – what is it and were is it? Due to this they learned how to build all those gothic churches and became very rich as the original banksters of Europe
    - more of Tesla’s info is being released and disseminated as we speak – try IRC, darknet, Russians and many others
    - as part of being a military SPECIAL investigator for decades and had one of the Top security clearances, way above top secret, i met Bill Cooper and have extensive files on him … so don’t try to bullshit me
    - there have been 1,000′s of military who have talked and released info after leaving
    - independent investigators have found much more than i say here
    - Jessy Ventura only states the obvious … or he’d be dead, ex special forces or not, all the protection he has or not. But he does say it.
    - roots of whole fiat for profit business system dates back to Amun priests of Egypt who figured out how to put a price on afterlife, a fraud – before that money was only used for trade/barter
    - men and women are much more than they have been taught – schools are nothing but training grounds for workers/slaves [i guess that's where you received your education] … unless you’re a shill for the elites?
    - every original ancient historical record states that we were created by another race of beings – since our first 2 chromosomes are doubled up it proves this beyond a shadow of doubt – experiments trying to mess with this part of DNA produced some very weird beings – see Nazi experiments
    - we were their workers/slaves til a number of catastrophes happened, final one did them in by way of earthquakes, volcanoes popping, and massive tidal waves
    - this covered most of earth in sediment as well as wiping out most everything but their largest structures
    - there are a number of their ships 2 to 5 km long fully imbedded in rock, one of them being in Moravia, Europe. As a fissure exposed part of it one can see it’s made of something not of our tech. You can shoot at it with a pistol and never make a scratch. Shine a light on it and you get little to no reflection, it soaks up light. Can’t cut it with laser. Surrounding rock is red granite so good luck trying to excavate it whole
    - from evidence we are coming up on similar time now
Now you can think what you will – but don’t try to bullshit me about which i’ve seen and experienced first hand.

NOAH was ridiculed for building his/their ark. It wasn’t funny for those who ridiculed him when it actually happened, as they ended up dead. FYI many others, but only fraction of what was before, survived in reed boasts/ships, underground bunkers and space ships to repopulate the planet.
    Space ships? That’s right.
Every original culture and society on earth says so in stone and full pictographs, and present sciences confirm this.
Bible, Torah are only short forms of full records kept in India, Nepal, China, Russia and other places.

So what’s going on today and has been for over 100 yrs – right in front of everyone’s faces?
    - Colorado airport with all it’s extended buildings … still being added to. Site is unrealistically huge. Everyone loves the old airport better and there’s nothing wrong with it.
    - 138 known massive underground bunkers in specific locations around North America – over 1,200 world wide. Each includes a fully sustainable environment for over 25 yrs … including all domesticated animals
    - Massive seed repository of all known seeds.
    - Nuclear subs that can stay under water for over 2 yrs.
    - Self righting Ships built with triple and quad hulls.
    - Massive storage of all known tech. and examples thereof.
    - US military stole more than 65,000 clay tablets and truck loads of artifacts from Baghdad museum. Left all the gold they couldn’t carry in their pockets behind. Why?
    - Baghdad museum only recently concluded negotiations to return small part of it back … if it ever actually happens
    - Massive documentation of all humans and breach of privacy
    - tyrannical security state in every part of earth
    - frequency of earth has changed from 7.8 Hz to 10.5 and increasing exponentially. http://www.valdostamuseum.org/hamsmith/Schumann.html … When it reaches 13. 2 Hz to 14 Hz around end of 2012 we are looking at massive upheavals
This is ALL readily available info from news, documentation, science, pictures, flyovers, video and people that work there.

If you don’t have the basic brain capacity to comprehend this and [with all due respect, for lack of better words at present] to get off your lazy ass and go see for yourself and put the pieces together that’s just too bad for you.
    - As for your cable TV gig? First tell me who owns them and for what reasons. Or did you miss all those posts here on p2pnet that connect MAAFIA to mass media to Feds to Elites to Fraud?

Strawmen? Come into any Common Law court and i’ll show you what a strawman is. I have full copies of Sovereign Law, Common Law, Admiralty Law, most of Universal Law and Law systems from around Earth. That’s enough to keep you there for now and next lifetime explaining yourself and your fictitious ideology/comments ;)
    - You want to come and play in my world Henry you better come greatly more prepared than what you said. Show us some rudimentary facts and evidence of your position. Proof man Proof! … preferably from the source :)
Otherwise as my grand kids would say: Go chill.

In general: It’s funny how shills will beat a subject like bill C-32 and similar to death but can’t connect anything else that’s attached to it. What kind of brain block is that? Compartmentalization? Do your job and don’t ask questions?
Yup, must be the dumbed down working class.

Well, since you put it that way… I do like to troll… So ok then. But, if he is going to write about the ancients and their spaceships, then has to be man enough to take trolling which will be brought up a few notches since I don’t think that kind of schizophrenic shit should be posted here and ruining the site. But wtf do I know. For all I know Jon could be his grandmaster and they are both waiting for the asteroid to pass in 2012 to beam them up (but they could just ask to use my stargate).

I think this site will turn into a laughing stock if it continues and you give this schizophrenic fuqtard a podium to stand on.

  41. Devil's Advocate Says:

“… I do like to troll”

    Here’s a checklist to consider…

    1) Do you complain about censorship or rant on about “Free Speech” when a site deletes comments?

    2) Do you get upset about that, only if the deleted comment was your own?

    3) Do you complain about not mass-deleting someone else’s posts, after delivering the “free speech” lecture in return for one of your posts being deleted?

    4) Do you constantly complain about the site operator or the site’s moderation, yet continue to hang around?

    5) Is your use of the Comments section completely devoted to slinging shit at someone else, while not discussing the page’s subject material?

    6) Do you use multiple personae to post to the same site?

    7) Are you content to make nasty entries, without even reading the post or comment you’re supposedly tearing into?

…If you answered “yes” to ANY ONE OF THEM, you ARE, by sheer definition of the term, trolling, and it’s a site’s prerogative to deal with it whatever way it wants.

Think about some of the posts that have made it through here, and ask yourself how YOU think it should be handled. (Don’t tell me the answer, just let it sink in.)

And, if you’re complaining about how a site’s “going to pot”, while being one of the chief posters that’s defiling it, you’re not only a troll… you’re a f’n HYPOCRITE!

  42. gabbi Says:

    DA:
Because p2pnet does not provide for private and encrypted way to use email which falls under Common Law only
    - shaw.ca, as most major ISPs, tracks and logs open/unencrypted email as their terms of use clearly specify = it’s under business / Admiralty Law. This presents a big problem for privacy advocates and anonymous type communications since users can be arbitrarily arrested for stating an opinion against powers that be, as patriot act and others clearly define.
    - disposable email addies still fall under Admiralty Law and get sent only if originating IP is confirmed. This means things like Tor and VPN networks can’t be used or used securely for email communications
    - there have been numerous good email anonymizers for short periods of time til they were shut down.
    - Closest to secure email today is hushmail.com … which still logs emails, sender and receiver IPs and any tom dick and harry can get a warrant to arrest anyone arbitrarily.
    - hushmail.com still ends with com and therefore is a company / corporation / business run by or closely attached to unscrupulous businesses / feds. Biggest flaw is it’s in US

    - You may have noticed i have not posted anything that hasn’t been already exposed because p2pnet doesn’t use https or secure communications for visitors/commenter. This also protects P2Pnet from any liability by powers that be.
If p2pnet did or would use https then feds and businesses would have no jurisdiction in arresting and or prosecuting anyone for leaving comments. Then i and possibly many others could explain the details and full extent of draconian system of Admiralty Law and related subjects

    - logic dictates that you as moderator have the power to delete and or edit comments and therefore create or use copy and paste to create new article/s ;)

    RW:
pick an anonymous secure place on internet that doesn’t need login and i’ll be glad to see your evidence and proof disputing what i’ve posted :)
otherwise your silly comments like “schizophrenic fuqtard” and rest of your diatribe only make you look like a fool in front of everyone
i bet it really irks you that such info is being disseminated on just about every independent site now. If you think this is bad then you should try Tragedy and Hope. A Wall Street programmer designed it to link Wikipedia pages for cross-referencing people and facts. Now that’s a web of elites one really needs to see. Too bad it’s a pay-for site … so it doesn’t get my vote.
Anyone can do same or similar by using an empty wall and bringing up pages as they read, then cross-linking them for info they contain
ONE MORE THING RW; most of info i say is already on p2pnet in one way or another and has been since the first year it started. I just combined it … so there ya go. :P

Uni students angry over copyright law

A small group of angry Canterbury University students have made their feelings known over new internet copyright laws.

The Government pushed the legislation targeting file-sharing through under urgency on the same day it rushed through Canterbury earthquake legislation.

Protestor Genna Scadden says the students feel the law is too harsh as it gives authorities the right to take away internet access

“By mere accusation alone is pretty wrong, it goes against our rights and 3 accusations to get your internet taken off you completely is not very good for us because we use it for everything.”

Genna Scadden says the Government used the quake to slip the legislation through without people noticing.

Google infringes the copyrights of Belgian newspapers by placing links to and portions of their articles on Google News, the Belgian Court of Appeals has ruled.

As a result, Google is required to remove all articles and photos from all Belgian newspapers in French and German. Google faces a daily fine of roughly $35,500 (25,000 euros) if it fails to implement this judgment.

Guy Tribble, Apple VP of software technology and Alan Davidson, Google’s director of public policy for the Americas will appear as witnesses at a congressional hearing on Tuesday.

Minnesota Sen. Al Franken, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology, and the Law will preside on the hearing, which is titled, “Protecting Mobile Privacy: Your Smartphones, Tablets, Cell phones and your Privacy.”

Franken asked the two tech companies to provide more information about data they collect from users after reports surfaced that iPhones and Android handsets collect location information even when not required by an application.

The initial reports were widely considered to be blown out of proportion.

Attackers are using Google image search to distribute malicious

Thousands of sites have reportedly been compromised by code injection–the malicious code redirects users to fake antivirus applications.

Internet Storm Center researcher Bojan Zdrnja writes that the attackers are mostly targeting WordPress sites, and are injecting PHP code that generates pages with images based on highly-searched content. Google then indexes these pages, and the images show up on Google’s image search.

No Sony PSN Service Anytime Soon, Says Latest Update

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/227381

Sony has posted another update saying it won’t be able to restore
PSN within the week as the company had hoped.

Sony is reneging on a promise to reboot its PlayStation Network and start bringing its 77 million customers back online anytime soon. Sony posted an update to its PlayStation blog Friday stating it was “unaware of the extent of the (network) attack” adding it needs to “conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system” before it can restart its network.

This latest statement contradicts a comment made just the previous day by Sony CEO and Chairman Howard Stringer who said “in the coming days, we will restore service to the networks.” Sony had also teased eager PSN gamers dropping hints that the PSN service would soon be restored, stating it had begun “the final stages of internal testing of the new system.”

World of Apple blogger Alex Brooks, who’s been to 30 Apple Store openings around the world, is bunged into an MRI machine to have his brain scanned for physiological responses to Apple. When shown pictures of Apple products, there’s increased activity in the visual centres of his brain.

Comparing the Apple fan’s brain scan with the noggin scans of religious folk, neuroscientists noticed similar effects. Apple is often described as a ‘cult’, complete with temples, devotees and its own messiah in the shape of St Steve of Jobs — not to mention the hysteria and madness surrounding every new product launch.
