Movie ticket add-ons

p2pnet.net News:- UK cinemas UCI and Odeon, owned by Terra Firm Capital Partners, are offering “mobile content” bundled with each movie ticket and, “Each pack gives them access to WAP sites developed for blockbuster films, and allows them to download relevant content or even book tickets for other films,” says MocoNews.

Then comes the scary part.

The two groups can also, “gather valuable profiling information on their customers [our emphasis] such as their purchase patterns and interests, that will then lead to the development of services and targeted marketing campaigns,’ says the report

Content will be free for seven days after which people can, “opt-in again to join the club for around £3 a month (about $5.44).

“Currently, content includes ringtones, colour images and games” but, “We’re beta testing a new service where customers will be sent a message containing a video preview of a new film, from which they can visit the WAP site,” Duncan Cheadle, sales director of Urban Mobile is quoted as saying.
