Chinese mobile soap opera
p2pnet.net News:- Would an interactive soap opera broadcast over your cell do anything for you?
The Shanghai Media Group (SMG) thinks it would, for people in Communist China, at any rate. That’s why it’s signed a memorandum with Dopod to produce soap operas viewable on mobile devices.
“Under their agreement, SMG’s affiliate Dragon Mobile will provide an interactive soap opera called Baigujing Waizhuan to Dopod to show on the latter’s mobile phone and PDA products,” says ChinaTechNews.
“The opera will be shown for five minutes each day throughout the year.”
Dopod is a joint venture between China Electronics Corporation (CEC) and overseas investments. The headquarters is located in Shanghai and manufacturing is based in Wuhan, says the story.
