MS finalises Sybari deal
p2pnet.net News:- Microsoft’s newly completed acquisition Sybari Software means the termination of Sybari’s Unix and Linux versions.
All anti-virus engines that work with Sybari’s server-based products will be supported, says TechWorld, going on, “Sybari provides virus signature updates using anti-virus engines from other vendors”.
Microsoft will continue to sell Sybari products for messaging servers that work in conjunction with Microsoft’s Windows operating system, says the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
They’ll include Sybari products for Microsoft Exchange and IBM’s Lotus Domino on Windows
Microsoft will integrate the anti-virus engine it acquired in 2003 when it bought GeCad.
