“In a phone interview, Ryan sounded similar notes of conspiracy. He claimed that members of the hacktivist collective Anonymous are secretly calling the shots in the Occupy Wall Street movement, provoking police violence and waging a concentrated effort to spread misinformation. He said that the supposedly peaceful organizers were secretly violent. And, because no right-wing smear is complete without a terrorism connection,
“Ryan adds in a blog post that he had seen Occupy Wall Street posts on the Al Qaeda recruitment forum Shamuk and Al-Jahad.
What’s more, Ryan says he’s identified the members of Anonymous behind Occupy Wall Street.
“I know which of them are Anonymous members, who aren’t and what they do and their alter-egos,” he said. Ryan said he identified members by quietly observing “patterns” in social media use among Anonymous members as they helped organize protests against San Francisco’s BART earlier this year, and moved on to Occupy Wall Street.
“While it’s true that members of Anonymous have been involved in the protests—they can often be seen wearing the Guy Fawkes masks that are a trademark of the hacktivist collective – Ryan couldn’t prove how the group was exercising control over the generally disorganized Occupy Wall Street protests.
“This all may sound a bit familiar. Aaron Barr, the former CEO of computer security company HBGary Federal, also claimed to have unmasked Anonymous last year. He was completely wrong, and Anonymous paid him back by hacking into his websites and leaking his email inbox all over the internet—the embarrassing revelations therein cost Barr his job.
“While Barr was owned by Anonymous, Ryan says he’s ready for any Anonymous counterattack.
‘I did things a lot different [than Barr],’ He is quoted as stating confidently. “I know what their tactics are going to be — they’re going to go after my email. I never leave things on my email server.’
“Ryan also said that if Anonymous ‘pushed the envelope’by attacking him, he’d release their identities.
‘I’m going to keep my mouth shut because you never release it unless you have to. You always want to have the trump card.’

Beside the fact that there is nothing really to “infiltrate” occupy wall street like anonymous is leaderless and has no particular secret.

I guess this guy and some of his buddies were the ones I heard on the news proclaiming things like “immortality through bioengineering, sex with animals and stuff”. This is from one of the audio clips played on the news last week. I have got to wonder how many of these crazy sounding protesters are really just these undercover “professionals”.

PARIS — A court here has ruled that French Internet service providers must block access to a Web site that shows pictures and videos of police officers arresting suspects, taunting protesters and allegedly committing acts of violence against members of ethnic minorities.
Law enforcement officials, who had denounced the site as an incitement to violence against the police, welcomed the decision.

Anonymous is nothing more than a vast network. i am just glad that project anonymous was a success and the true group anonymous was not hurt in this little battle between peoplewho say they are anonymous and those who are actually anonymous.

The Appellant Wayne Crookes alleges that he has been defamed in various articles which first appeared on the Internet in 2005. The Respondent, Jon Newton, owns and operates the website http://www.p2pnet.net. On July 18, 2006, he authored an article, headed “Free Speech in Canada”, which hyperlinked one of the articles, as well as the website containing the other impugned articles. Those articles, in turn, were hyperlinked to one another. Mr. Crookes takes the position that, by creating these hyperlinks, or by refusing to remove the hyperlinks when advised of their defamatory character, Mr. Newton became a publisher of the impugned articles found at the hyperlinked websites. Mr. Crookes and his company, the Appellant West Coast Title Search Ltd., brought an action against Mr. Newton for damages for defamation.

What a moron. The Occupy Wall Street “organizers” have been using PUBLIC social networks to do all their work. There is no “outing” by special “hacking” he did. Anyone can look and see who is saying what about the #occupy protests. The thing these wackos don’t get is that anonymous is successful b/c it really is anonymous and diverse and is an idea. If anyone were to be called a leader, it would be Julian Assange. But he is really just someone taking the lead – not a leader per se.
