According to that, we should have received both a notice in the mail several weeks prior to installation and a door tag notice once it was actually installed. Neither of these was delivered, but I had a sinking feeling when what I read about what the installers would be wearing and what sort of trucks they would be driving triggered a memory of seeing some unfamiliar work vehicles on our street some time back. I called the company to “opt out” of the installation pending the results of whatever hearing is currently in the works only to learn that we already had been converted to the new meter back in June.

I am not pleased.

I have no idea whether it will be effective or not, but I plan on encasing the thing in foil and at least electing not to have that damn thing phoning home every two minutes…
