The first space shuttle flight since the Columbia astronauts died in 2003, certainly.
But eclipsing even that is the news that copies of the 6th Harry Potter book are already on the loose in Canada, promoting a court order for its return.
An over-eager seller allowed a handful to be sold before the official release date, publisher Raincoast went into a flat spin and now the world is in a literal uproar.
Not that this is the first time.
A Quebec Wal-Mart store accidentally sold a few Harry Ps before the official release date and Raincoast staff scoured the Net, looking for illicit copies.
They’re probably doing much the same this time around. And they’ll be crying all the way to the bank.

Anyway, when all this complete madness will stop ? There are people starving and dying of AIDS but no, (c)/IP issues are *more* important that having 6 billion people well-fed and health-cared…

A previous writer here has mentioned that a well fed and healthy world is more desirable than a killing at the cashiers desk.
Only to the corporation that is involved in the “sales event” they are trying to establish is that not so. A well fed and healthy world would be viewed as money out of their pockets unless there is something in it for them. Shame ain’t it?
Five years from now, how important will be the sales of this one book? Be real here. This is nothing but staging in hopes of getting the golden goose for the week. Meanwhile where it is important isn’t so for the greedy. When they have some sort of new virus or something with no cure knocking at the door of each boardmember I suspect that might have a different view but nothing short of that will change the idea for them.
