US, China Trade talks
p2pnet.net News:- How’s this for sheer, unadulterated arrogance?
The various entertainment and software cartel organs love to pump out puff pieces praising, or condemning, countries and governments when they do, or don’t do, what’s required (in the corporate view) to keep profits flowing.
Now Hollywood mouthpiece Dan Glickman, who fronts the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), has given his grudging approval for recent US-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade talks in Beijing.
Agreements reached during the sessions, “reflect modest progress in our ongoing efforts to improve enforcement of intellectual property rights in China," he says.
The US was represented by secretary of commerce Carlos Gutierrez, US trade representative Rob Portman and secretary of agriculture Mike Johanns, and, “Glickman applauded the continued commitment by both Gutierrez and Portman to improve IP protection in China.”
That should make Gutierrez and Portman feel all warm and cozy.

Well, if Mr. Glickman approves, even grudgingly, it MUST be a good thing, right?
