Download it here.

Wow, I’m going to have to upgrade my computer. I’m still running Windows 3.1 on a 286 with 8 meg ram. Just kidding. sounds like an interesting program .

July 14th, 2005 at 6:22 pm
who spells this stuff. i read this site religiously and if you want to be anything people take seriously. i suggest spell check.
July 14th, 2005 at 6:30 pm
How about your punctuation, buddy? You should have a comma instead of a period in the middle of your sentence.
And what about capital letters at the beginnings of sentences? Did you forget they exist?
Sorry, but I can’t take you seriously.
Nice glass house you live in. I like your pile of stones.
July 14th, 2005 at 6:33 pm
“who spells this stuff” IS A QUESTION!
Where’s the question mark.
Jusr shut up. Jon does a great job. You try it when you learn proper grammar.
July 14th, 2005 at 6:38 pm
maybe you missed the point of my post.
if he wants to be taken seriously he should monitor it.
im not writing the headlines so my punctuation and spelling isn’t going to be read by EVERYONE.
I try it? sure ill try it the day im writing a HEADLINE for a “news” site
July 14th, 2005 at 6:42 pm
p2pnet and Jon are taken very seriously.
YOU, on the other hand, aren’t.
Get a life. Go write in your blog (if you can).
Find your crayons and colouring books and practice staying in the lines.
July 14th, 2005 at 6:44 pm
yeah, spelling kistakea are sometimes made – even in mainstream media.
and when jon has to read and filter through and research hundreds of articles per week, inevitably a few unintentional mistakes will be made.
get used to it.
dope.
July 14th, 2005 at 7:11 pm
wow i guess i got owned by you all.
“jon has to read and filter through and research hundreds of articles per week”
should i start listing off all of the thousands of applications available FREE on all of these torrent sites that have spell checkers?
get a life. it was merely a statement. there were 4 spelling errors, 2 punctuation errors and a blatant grammar error in just this one article. A few unintentional mistakes is one thing.
trust me i appreciate jon and this site, or did. Let me point everyone who has posted a comment to MY comment to this very special link.

I was interested in the software until my blocklist showed
Connection Rejected: 66.45.240.114 – http://www.bitlord.com | BEWARE! worst BT Client EVER! (07-14-2005 @ 18:02:22)
when I tried to dl the application.

No one but no one here is making a living by the written word. If all you got is a bitch about spelling I suggest you go find a school site where maybe you will be appreciated, though somehow I doubt it will be. Get used to the idea that folks are human and make mistakes. It happens.
If the only bitch is how the article was spelled or how the punctuation was used then obviously there isn’t much in the line of originality to be called up by the complainer to contribute to the article.
Jon does a fine job at this site. His words may not be textbook correct at all times but he gets his ideas across all the same. That is certainly more important than if it is spelled color or colour.
Get-a-life…

Been using it about 3 months now.
Works great.
To each their own I guess.

Use BitComet to download more than 1 torrent in the same interface @ the same time & BitTornado if you prefer to download 1 @ a time (& don’t want to open multiple instances of the same program/GUI).
July 15th, 2005 at 8:56 am
G3 Torrent is also great, btw.

You are one sick individual. Many of us have children with special needs and the likes of you just beggar understanding. At least I can be assured that you’ll probably end up as a first class honours Darwin award winner one day.

Does anyone know if it will run in Linux under Wine? If so I might give it a download.
July 15th, 2005 at 4:06 pm
p2pnet is about the only p2p site with current p2p news and a clear position. The others, like Zeropaid and Slyck, are cop-outs and half their *news* is nothing but reporting by press release, etc, including PR from the enemy, or cut-and-pastes.
The speeling here might not be perfect sometiems, but whoo cares? The cntent is here.

Perhaps you’re on the wrong site. Looks like you’re looking for a grammar and spelling web site. Why don’t you go and find one.
While you’re at it, why don’t you spell check the whole internet.
Maybe that will make you feel like a somebody.
You can really do some good by keeping busy spell checking the whole internet and I’m sure everyone here will be grateful to you for your diligent work.
Start now and let us know how it’s going after a couple of months.
Thanks for checking this site.
Sorry for any spellfking errors here.

Is this the same bitLord thats basically just a guy’s rip-off of Bitcomet?
Tips that oint me in that direction
1) the interface is identical
2) shortly after a new bitComet comes out, a new Bitlord comes out
3) bitLord identifys itself as “Bitcomet 1.1″
August 5th, 2005 at 9:14 pm
Quote:Reasons not to use Bitlord
-Links to paid advertising sites
-Your IP will become a “hit” for some poor guy trying to sell something thinking you are actually visiting his website.
-During installing, use, and uninstalling, BitLord creates a dozen “unknown” entries, and does not let go of your system even after uninstalling and removing all “left over” registry entries.
-Deleting these entries causes Bitlord to hijack Azureus associations
-One entry has “Microsoft” in it
-Comes with its very own spy seeder that sends bits of itself out with every torrent piece, and tracks users who get pieces from a Bitlord user, reporting their IPs back to a remote site.
If you’re using this, stop immediately unless you want an increased risk of being smacked by a lawsuit by some media company. I also advise you to ban all the “Bitcomet 1.01″ and “Bitcomet 1.00″ users from your torrents– these are Bitlord users, and in addition to getting rid of a crappy spy/leech client, you’ll see a speed increase.

BitLord looks exactly like a twin copy of BitComet. No idea why, but it is shocking when I first saw it.
For comaprison :

Yes although if you notice BitComet 0.60 has DHT and more features than BitLord 1.1.
Also it contains links to 2torrents (for which they seem 2 charge for the popluar torrents or wait in a 5day queue!) and some porno chat stuff.
All money making crap and adware in a sense so stick with BitComet 0.60 as its newer and without all the xxx stuff and doesnt forward u to the irritating 2torrents site along with new features.

I tried BitLord in WINE and got an error message saying Microsoft XML parser 3.0 is required.

Do you always believe everything on the net?
I have picked it up myself and had no problems downloading it, and it works fine.
Your security settings maybe a bit to strickt and yes I use peerguardian to.
You better worry about Time Warner and other media giants who try to harvest evidence from your computer to sqeeze the last buck out of your wallet and your government who use pretence of terorism to aid them in their moneygrubbing quest.
And meanwhile your country is not the land of the free anymore but a coorperate run police state.
So people be more objective,Live Long and Prosper

Then you must have done something wrong because Biltlord works just fine!!
Better then ABC when your computer crashes your downloads are gone.
There is nothing wrong with it and when you have a bad expierence with this client you can’t just say it sucks.
When I have to make a list of all bad expierences I had with software I can throw away my computer.
Sometimes I even hate Windows but I still use it.

I love bitlord, I get this from PeerGuardian2 – there’s no explanation or further info from peerguardian. Perhaps they’re just in competition. I know they hark on about one other alternative BT client that they highly recommend.
