iTunes chalks up half-billion
p2pnet.net News:- Apple is well pleased with itself.
It’s now achieved its 500 millionth download in the shape of Faith Hill’s “Mississippi Girl”.
“Just over two years ago, we sold our first song,” Jobs say. “Yesterday, we sold our half billionth song. WOW!”
However, to put this into perspective, in the real world of online music, around 32 billion songs have moved computer to computer in the same period of time
Now that’s WOW!
And when the Big Four record labels finally stop trying to rip us off by wholesaling ‘product’ at upwards of 65 cents per, forcing the likes of iTunes to charge a dollar and more per download, they’ll be able to say WOW too – at the sudden surge in sales.

In otherwords, I just put a grain of sand in a thimble and moved it to the next state. Jeeze, that’s one down only the beachfront to go…
