Ask Jeeves goes after Google

p2pnet.net News:- They’re after your money Big Time, they being the many and various companies going up against each other, trying tp talk you into spending your hard-earned cash on their products and/or services. And they frequently use the search engines to do it.

But you already new that ; P

Anyhow, Ask Jeeves plans to, “unveil a competitor today to the highly lucrative search-engine advertising networks of Google and Yahoo, hoping to capitalize on a growing demand by marketers for so-called sponsored links,” says the San Francisco Chronicle.

It’ll give Ask Jeeves some freedom from its primary ad supplier, Google, “but it will not mean total independence”.

Ask Jeeves will display, “only a handful of the text ads its sells above those supplied by Google,” says the story.

“Users will be unable to distinguish between the two sources.”
