Ashdown vs Hatch
p2pnet.net News:- One of Hollywood `s favourite sons, senator Orrin `Terminator` Hatch, might soon be looking for a job.
Utah`s Hatch, who`s spearheaded many a vested-interests bill on behalf of the record label and movie studio cartels, is being challenged by Steve Urquhart.
But Urquhart isn`t alone.
“I read your posting regarding Steve Urquhart challenging Orrin Hatch,” says Pete Ashdown. “You should also be aware of my candidacy for the same office. I announced last March and so far I am the only Democratic candidate.
My background is technology and part of that was starting in 1993, building, and continuing to run the first ISP in Utah, XMission.
Ashdown started out as computer operator and admin assistant.

When you start to see politicans positioning themselves against the stance of an incumbent and they are all leaning the same way regardless of party affilations, it gives one the idea that the time of the free for all for the content cartels might be drawing enough ire of the public to support putting such a candidate into office. It starts with one and then another candidate and the end results is either a totally unfavorable climate for the content cartels to advance their agenda or that multiple payoffs are again necessary. Time will tell if the payoff part is valid.
Should the payoff part be necessary and accepted you can expect that money will come from the public, indirectly. The first thought I have is that lawsuits would increase to fund those. After all it is free money in the eyes of the cartels, there for the demanding. I for one will keep an eye on the frequency and volumes of lawsuits should this candidate against theme become popular.

If the candidate is either a Democrat or Republican, there is a 99% chance that that candidate has nothing but specail interests at heart. If I saw a Libertarian or Constitution Party member running for this office, then i’d be inclined to support said candidate. A candidate that fights the cartels may just be the one that wants to raise gas and property taxes. Just because a Republicrat advocate one specific type of freedom does not mean that they are pro-freedom. WATCH out!
