Apple’s Better Mouse
p2pnet.net News:- Apple has come out with another mouse.
wowee.
It’s for “power users” running either Windows 2000 or XP and, of course, Mac OS X, although Mighty Mouse operators will need Mac 10.4.2 Tiger to customize buttons for one-click access to Spotlight, Dashboard and Exposé, or to launch applications.
Costing a hefty $50, it has up to four independently programmable buttons, “without compromising simplicity for users who prefer just a single-button mouse”.
Its Scroll Ball lets users, well, scroll, AND, it fits either hand. Gosh.
AND, compatible with USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 ports, it has an optical tracking.
"As far as the ‘revolutionary’ button goes, old tech once again," says the PhysOrg blog. "There have already been two or three button mice available with micro switches connected to one pivoting plate.
"So I have to ask, what is so revolutionary? The fact that Apple put the technologies together under an Apple logo or the price MAC users will be willing to pay for it?"

“Four-button unit offers slick looks and some handy Mac-only features, but comfort isn’t one of them.?
“There’s no reason…drop $50 on…a standard two-button optical mouse.”
“…isn’t very comfy and defaults to standard two-button fare on the PC.”
Apple sucks! Hah!
