The amount of money lost to fraud is high, but that amount is nothing compared to the amount lost because of offical error. If they're not screwing us, we're giving it away because DWP workers can't be bothered to learn how to do their job.... Just as the DWP are cracking down on "benefit cheats", they're spending an equal amount of time & resources spying on their own staff... and when i look at most of the people I work with - lazy, militant and jobsworthy to an unhealthy extreme - I understand why... Now you found out doing benfit fraude then you can not get no money for 6 weeks( ie £0 or $0 for 6 weeks). You must be looking for work in that time as will not get any benfit after 6 weeks, also you will have to pay them back. In others words, you damed if do and damed if you dont.
