Sprint Nextel $2 song service

p2pnet.net News:- The new Sprint Nextel company is joining the crowd that believes you’ll pay, and pay handsomely, to be able to listen to music on your mobile.

“Sprint Nextel Corp will combine wireless service plans from Sprint and Nextel in early September and launch a mobile music download service in time for the holidays, an executive said on Tuesday,” according to Reuters.

Sprint and Nextel are now one following the former’s $39 billion buy of Nextel Communications and ceo Len Lauer said the firm plans to sell wireless song downloads at prices above the $1 per download charged by iTunes.

"Customers are paying $2 for a shortened version of a song for a ringtone,” Lauer is quoted as saying.

“Will they pay the same for a full song, having the convenience of having it on (a cellphone)? I think they will.”

Then what you say means nothing! So keep your mouth shut unless you know something of what you speak. I hate when people knock things they know nothing about!

“I hate when people knock things they know nothing about!”

…like getting ripped off? Sounds like you’re an expert on the subject.

  3. Reader's Write Says:

No on companies, products, ect. You don’t even own a sell phone, so how can you knock them for trying something new?

  4. Reader's Write Says:

At $2 a ringtone? lols, Go buy a bunch of them, just for yourself. I made very plain that I don’t use a cell phone, don’t want one, and don’t want the overpriced products that can be attached to it. CAN IT BE MADE ANY PLAINER THAN THAT?

You have a choice where to spend your money. Your choice is not my choice, so get over it.

  5. Reader's Write Says:

Buying a cable that allows you to transfer mp3’s to your phone is much cheaper. There’s software that allows you to create your own ringtones too.

All the corporations are looking for the get rich scheme to add to the bottom line. There will be some that don’t know the value of money that will take them up on it. Since I hate a phone, don’t use their service, and don’t own a cell phone; I won’t be one of them.
