Wow, this just seems like it was made from one of the cartels press releases. This does nothing except sicken me

i feel much safer now i know a fictitious, over-the-hill comic book detective is going after the real pirates.
i’m sure dick has really earned his paycheck on this case.

Great! Now that Dick has busted that guy, the MPAA can stop their sue em all campaign. After all, as Dick himself said “Well, your living is costing the movie industry five billion a year!”, so obviously that one guy is responsible for ALL the movie piracy that was going on, at least until Dick busted him.
So i guess we’ll see statements from the MPAA later today or tomorrow that the campaign is over, and that everybody can relax now.
Way to go Dick!

the big problem is that even dick, with his “intelligence” obtained over however many hundreds of years he’s been around, and never looking older than 39…he still doesn’t get it.
but i’m glad he caught this guy. i hope tony is right that we’ll have a big announcement soon from the MPAA, BSA and RIAA that they’ve finally caught the big pirate costing them billions every year, and that the sue ‘em all campaign is over.

That was my thought exactly. I like how they try to inject into normal folks that their hobby is solely responsible for their woes.
I haven’t been to the theatre for over a year and guess what? I don’t download movies, music or games. I just think that they feel they can put out a mediocore product and people are going to flock to it anyway. I hope they realize they are simply a caytalist for after-theatre-market DVD sales. Thats what people want now, to sit at home with their friends and family.

Gee, that guy doesn’t look like a pirate. Where’s his pirate hat? That backwards baseball cap is so fetching. Where’s his parrot? Does Dick’s wrist radio also play mp3s? Is it DRM enabled? Oh, now look at the can of worms that’s been opened…….

Anything will work to get the issue in at the attention center again. Sort of like a child needing attention. You ever notice how rare responcible counterpoint is always missing in such tidbits? It’s almost like no one is at home on the other side of the fence when major media throws out the news.
As we have seen much of our lawmakers work the same way, when it comes to passing industry protection laws. Only I think no one is at home in the legislature but those interested in seeing they get their next contribution into the campaign warchest.
