p2pnet posting problems
p2pnet.net News:- If you’re a regular reader, you may have noticed that, for the past week or so, we’ve been having delays in stories going up in the early part of the day. Sometimes the hang-ups have been quite significant, as they are this morning.
Although the p2pnet server is in the UK, copy originates on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada. The ISP is Shaw and we were told there was nothing wrong with the routing, or anything else: the problems were down to us, in some way.
However, Shaw today admits it’s having ‘noise’ difficulties that are affecting the grid around here and causing traffic flow hang-ups.
Crews will be (or already have been) dispatched from Victoria, 1.5 hours away, to investigate and hopefully, things will get back to normal soon.
In the meanwhile, the pattern has been that although posting is difficult in the earlier part of the morning (we have to catch ‘windows,’ as with this item) things tend to smooth out later in the day. So until Shaw gets the noise problems resolved, please bear with us.
Cheers!
Jon

Cheers Jon, I had noticed the rate was down from the norm. Will hang in there!
