If these movie pirates would spend time trying to create their OWN movies instead of stealing other's work they wouldn't be getting sued....

You are correct it IS all about the money. They want to make money from theft instead of honest work.

I would guess they'll try to run near-IR horizontal scan lines at about 60hz and vary the frequency slightly to cause an interference effect.
Something like looking through two window screens at the same time and moving your eyes slightly side-to-side.
It'll be overcome easily, I guarantee it.
;-)

People who are obsessed with money know no nationality. The same applies to ethics. They do not care how many people die, go bankrupt, suffer. All they care about is accumulating more money.

But you know what?! Money is only worth something if PEOPLE agree on their value. Once people figure out that racket, the money accumulated will be worthless. They say

"In the end, all that money in the world will do you no good if you can't eat it."

Money is a 'proxy' to TRADE IN for something of value. So remember folks, you can always barter and trade. Keep you valuables close to you, since when (and this is SOON) the Bubble Pops, you'll be ready.

'Just because we can bankrupt families, harrass children, the elderly, the single mother working 2 jobs, doesn't mean we should.'
-(haha, almost said the whole thing without laughing). Of course we should, poor people dont matter. There is nothing more important than money.
nothing.
'but mr entertainment industry, my gramma was beaten and sodomized by some bad men, and they only got 3 years in prison, the guy who camcordered a movie got 17 years, does than mean recording a movie is worse than grandma being gangraped?'
'that's right, little Billy. There is nothing more important than money. Nothing.'

So, the main thrust of HP's projection technology development is spent on how to mitigate taping? What a steaming buttload. Someone will figure out a work around before you can say "pre-release".

I use some very overpriced bogus software at work. It is an app that the average hacker would turn their nose up at because nobody including it's intended market (municipalities) would even want to crack it. Yet it is clear that they have spent way more development time and money on "securing" the licensing than on the actual functionality of the app.

Greed makes people do strange (and evil) things...

These guys are so predictable. Where is their imagination? And are they going to come after me because I came up with a theory on how they are going to block camcorders? Well, if they do, it will cost them a lot more than it will me. I will not be intimidated by bullies!!! cyberscan

Let me guess, the technology is most likely an infrared beam that can be picked up by a camcorder yet cannot be seen by the naked human eye. If this infrared beam is intense enough, it can cause the resulting picture to be whited out. If the beams intensity level constantly changes, it could confuse the camcorders automatic light level sensors. I guess this is how I would do it.

The answer might be as simple as installing a filter that blocks this infrared beam. This is how I would try to foil camcorders if it were me.
