‘Yahoo hosts fraud sites’
p2pnet.net News:- Spamhaus says Yahoo is hosting close to 5,000 fraudulent web sites with domain names containing the words “bank”, “PayPal” or “eBay, many of which are linked to phishing scams.
Silicon.com quotes Spamhaus cio Richard Cox as saying, “They are hosted on Yahoo! I just took three hot words, but there are dozens of others including misspellings. They are mostly phishing websites, which shows that the situation is out of control.”
Spamhaus has around 20 entries relating to Yahoo! on its block list SBL, says the story, going on that Cox says Spamhaus had written to Yahoo! about a number of cases, but received no replies.
In contrast, Cox said AOL and Microsoft are sweeping their networks for fraudulent domains and removing phishing websites, adds silicon.com.

Many sites advertised by spam are hosted or portaled by Yahoo! I also believe that geocities is also a part of the Yahoo Alliance. I believe that it would be a good idea for Spamhaus to blocklist mail from the Yahoo domain. Yes, this will cause a very big stir, but I believe that the negetive publicity will also force Yahoo! to clean up their act. I know that I get a lot of spam that advertises crap hosted by Yahoo, and despite many complaints to the Yahoo abuse department, nothing is done. BLOCK YAHOO! EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since they have aligned themselves with S.B.C. (Satan’s Broadcasting Company a.k.a. Southwestern Bell Company), they have followed the same types of practices that this company has followed. I refuse to use Yahoo for anything. Even by using Yahoo Instant Messenger, you are giving Yahoo a great deal of information about yoursels such as when you are in front of your computer.
I bet that the times you are in front of your computer using IM are the approximate times that you receive the most telemarketing calls (if you are not on the do not call list). The only time I ever use Yahoo is when sending messages to those who have yahoo email addresses. As far as I’m concerned, this company cannot be trusted and STINKS!!!
