"atleast loki was straight about things.."
*******************************************

loki is no better than sloncek.

right. stealing $40,000+, as well as handing over all logs and never puting up a fight or explaining anything. never showing where the money went. no accountability. just disappearing with all the cash.

yeah, that's straight up.

i hope you gave him a lot of money.

both yall are right. there is no need for people like this to be involved in the scene. Honestly if he sold us out once what stops him from just getting as much inside information on whats happening and then selling it to the feds or other companies to pursue lawsuits.

People have to stop this guy from being anywhere near anyone who knows about anything piracy related. I mean now he wants to be in the p2p scene? honestly this guy is pirating for different reason then 99% of us are..

sharing is caring.. stop selling your shit.. straight up.. your just as bad as the companies out there charging 1500-5000 per software. You just sell what is not yours..

and fyi: he shut his site down because he was paid to. People from eXeem wouldnt see it fit to continue running suprnova.org while eXeem was released.. and time in between.. was only attention seeking. He is full of tricks.. i would watch these fuckers..

atleast loki was straight about things..

I agree.
Beat it, Andrej, you'll never get back what you burned up with eXeem.
SuprNova was good, but eXeem ruined it all. Don't expect things to get better for you. I'll do anything I can to make sure you don't get any success with your suprnova revival, as you don't deserve it. GFY.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Screw suprnova and Sloncek, so many better alternatives are available now anyway. For instance this great site. How do you feel about the competition (if you can call it that ) Jon?

In my mind there are issues with money taken as a war chest for the purpose of fighting the RIAA. There are also issues with the logs turned over with the settlement. While logs get massive and are often deleted several times over the course of a day, someone had to have their ips on the current log.

Once the trust is gone, it's gone. While Sloncek may have had a good thing with the suprnova and its traffic; he hasn't displayed the kind of integrity I would expect and demand of a webmaster. I don't stay where I don't feel I don't get that. I would be very uneasy going to this man's website with the past that is hanging over him. Next bind that came up would likely see him chunking the logs to the **AA's as a settlement and I want no part of that.

It is hard to gain trust, certainly on the internet; it is even easier to lose it by misdeeds. I for one won't be showing up there as I would not feel comfortable at his site. His past actions have shown what he is made of.

Commercial p2p may go the way of pay to peer but Darnnets will always exist, but main stream filesharing will probably go the direction of pay per download or some collective licincing subscription model .

And the P2P community doesn't like sellouts, like mr. Preston.
You have killed suprnova with eXeem. Don't expect things to repair themselves so easily, Andrej.

Of course not. Its like comparing apples to oranges. A link dump site will obviously have a lot more traffic than a p2p discussion forum.
Even a large p2p forum like http://www.p2pforums.com or http://www.p2pconsortium.com won't get the traffic of a tracker site.
My personal opinion is that sloncek thought he could make some money, it didn't work out, so now hes back to try and rebuild what he gave up.

He may get some newer peeps that don't know the history, but his former community has found greener pastures and are doin' quite well on their own. Loyalty and trust are hard to earn and easy to lose.

Suprnova.org was Suprnova.org up till dec 2004. Now even though the url might be the same, its not Suprnova.org anymore, it will be just another p2pnet website wannabe, anyone remember respectp2p.org (the admin of sharereactor.com) opened up this website as a forum also, still I believe it has not attained the same traffic, that sharereactor.com had in its heyday!

hehe. You wrote "big dump". ;)

Good interview. Sloncek may believe that P2P will become pay p2p but I don't think the cretins in the entertainment industries can eliminate dark nets and all open source P2P networks.

is this for real? i get a blank page from the link and to suprnovadotorg.

if it's not going to be a dump site, i don't believe it will be very popular.

the staff and members moved on to snarf and other places which are very popular. suprnova isn't needed anymore, unless it is a dump site. this is where the members will want to lead him. will he follow? will he be a man of his word and follow where he's led? his history would paint a different picture of the man.

and if he's trying to repair his credibility, he should answer the question publicly: why did he close it down, and why can't he speak about it?

he found out - just as loki did - that you can't mess with p2pers. loyalty is earned over time. credibility is earned over time.

he said when it closed that it will NEVER come back. NEVER. now he wants it back because exeeem sucked, he's licking his woulds, and is trying to invite people to a party that has no cake and ice cream?

how about some humble pie and explain yourself publicly and honestly and completely? you want loyalty? that's the first step to getting it.
