> I think he read too fast and mistake it for RIAA lawyers :D I almost did the same !

Indeed. I did the same a first glance. The subject might make one think that this is about lawyers "defending" RIAA (they really should be sued more often for their practices). Also, seeing words like "representing RIAA" in the text doesn't help. Of course, "victims" is the last word in the first sentence, but many folks might not read that far.

I think the key here is that there are a few lawyers helping defend folks against the outragous RIAA extortion maneuvers that seem to be never ending.

Keep up the great work for keeping us informed about things that other media outlets like to squelch.

I think the title says it. All of these victims have internet access (with the exception of the mistakes in addresses). At some point it is going to occur to them to seek help when the notice shock passes. Since the blackmail collection center isn't offering any sort of help for those victims; it would be nice if Jon had a google cache already set up for them when they seek. Should Jon tie that database with a requirement to come to this site first before access, it is very possible you would hear the latest abuse in action as it happens.

At the very least, they will be exposed to their case not being the only one and that there are supporters here against those methods being used. It means a lot to someone who feels they are in trouble and have no where to turn to find out there is a whole network of support for them. For the now, what helps the blackmail center is that each individual is isolated to be dealt with one at a time on an individual basis. Removing this isolation will go a long ways to starting off a sympathy for the victim and a feeling of something in common. (A necessary ingrediant for any sort of movement to gain recruits)

Having help and the right help at hand should go a long ways towards cementing a permanet and unique place on the net for Jon's site.

This is a great idea, putting together an index of resources for the people active in fighting back against the cartels.
What I'd be even more interested in is a listing of the lawfirms and lobbyists working FOR the RIAA/MPAA, and perhaps an accounting of their who's pockets they lined (ooops, I meant campaign contributions, etc.) and how much.
