The Sun and Tom Cruise

p2p news / p2pnet:- “Here’s a classic one for you,” emails Andrew from the UK. “Today The Sun has story on Page 19 and on the Clarkson page is this:

COULD someone please explain why, when we settle down to watch a DVD, we’re electronically prevented from skipping forward to the start of the film. Life is too short to spend half of it sitting through lectures on how the opinions of the actors are not necessarily interesting and why copyright piracy is a crime.

I’ll tell you what’s a crime, matey boys. Charging 14 quid [about $25] for something that only costs 20p. Because to make the film, Tom Cruise demanded £140 billion for standing on a box, pouting.

“The Sun is the best selling news paper in the UK,” Andrew points out, adding, “Now who owns The Sun? News Corporation aka 20 Centrey Dross.

“Think about it…”

Come on now, Andrew. Everyone knows Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, Fox News, etc, only engage in Fair & Balanced reporting.
