As far as i’m aware, anyone can post an opinion on Slyck forums. If there is a need to clarify the situation with Bearshare (or a need to correct a Slyck article) may I humbly suggest that someone from Bearshare posts in the appropriate Slyck thread in order to enlighten us all?

There are fourms like this one http://www.technutopia.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=38 where a beta version of bearshare is posted. Also I think that the support emails are still being answered. Someone is alive!

My final thoughts on the subject ; )

I check Slyck regularly but I didn’t see this particular post. Someone emailed me about it, asking if the other p2pnet advertisers were closing down too and if so, would that mean the end of p2pnet?

As I said in my reply, everything seems OK so far. On What would happen if they pulled their ads for whatever reason? - I’ll cross that bridge if and when I come to it.

Otherwise, this kind of thing is why I try hard to make sure stuff I post is accurate, although I make mistakes like everyone else. And given volume of copy I churn out, I probably make _more_ than everyone else : )

I think everyone is taking this out of proportion. Sometimes you need a decoder ring to understand Slyck’s articles…they tend to be…i dunno…interpretive at times?

But I sorta agree with the first post, although I wouldnt be so rude. Maybe it would have been better to ask Slyck first and getting an understanding before accusing them of inaccuracies Jon?

Me? I interpreted the Bearshare passage within the context of the story. I dont really think slyck was saying they done for or closed for good…the article was very creatively written so they may have taken some liberties…

I have to agree. You are taking Slyck’s story completely out of context and using it to your advantage. Taking it out of the story like you did seems to be more along the lines of exploitation - or your just keeping your sugar daddy’s happy….either way poor journalism on your part.
