p2p news / p2pnet:- Canada’s Research In Motion (RIM) will use Intel’s "Hermon" in the next-gen BlackBerry devices.

“Specifically, RIM plans to incorporate Intel’s Xscale architecture and PXA9xx cellular processor for future devices that will be engineered to run on EDGE wireless networks,” says Wireless Week. “The PXA9xx platform incorporates flash memory, according to Intel.”

Yesterday, Palm and Microsoft said they were working together on the next Treo smartphone which’ll have Palm offering a Treo featuring the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system.
