Level 3 vs Cogent
p2p news / p2pnet:- Level 3 Communications and Cogent Communications are having a fight. Over money, natch. But users are the ones who are taking it in the teeth.

That technical action means that some customers on each company’s network now will find it impossible, or slower, to get to Web sites on the other company’s network.
ZDNet says Level 3 claims its deal with Cogent isn`t financially viable because it [Level 3] is the larger of the two.

A similar Net blackout happened in 2001, when Cable & Wireless and PSINet were embroiled in a billing dispute.
