Crashes when trying to change the port and applying options, then it crashes after restarting from a crash when you try to close it. Yeah I submitted to the developer the dump.

Change the UL/DL of the specific task. There’s a difference between the Global rates & the Specific Task rates.

I made that comment to Jon after using uTorrent for about half an hour. The application made a strong impression on me and that was my initial reaction. From what I’m hearing, there are a lot of other people with similar opinions after using uTorrent for only a short while.

Yes, you can expect to hear more about uTorrent here in the future.

I hope you don’t find my other writings lacking in intelligent commentary and thought provoking analysis.

I’m trying it out right now because of this P2Pnet article (thanks!). I have to say I really like it so far. Downloading one file right now and it’s only using 2MB of memory. Seems to be every bit as good as Azureus. Simple too, which is great for bittorrent newbies. I’ll be recommending it to everyone from now on.

There’s this operating system you should check out. It’s called DOS and it only lets you run one program at a time so you don’t get confused. You would love it.

I just switched seeding a torrent from ABC (where it was consuming almost 19MB of memory) to uTorrent where it’s using less than 2MB.

There *are* a few missing features — I like ABC’s ability to limit the upload rate while downloading (else it’s at default maximum) — but I really like the added info.
And my ISP will love me now I can reduce my upload and download speeds during their specific “busy” hours!

Give it a try! It’s only a 89kB download and runs as an exec so doesn’t require an install…

uTorrent is great for seeding files without using lots of PC resources.

i’ll check it out, but i don’t like clients with multiple downloads – too much like grokster and others. i get too confused and end up with a bunch of unfinished files.

i prefer bittornado (formerly shadow’s experimental) to all others so i can look at one file at a time and keep better track of them.

well, goo luck to whoever made this. i’m sure there wil be a lot of interest.
