Donen movie for free
p2p news / p2pnet:- Are you Stanley Donen fan and if you are, would you like to be able to download his Charade?
You can. Because something has happened to it that should happen to all movies, music and everything else.
Someone neglected to put the then required copyright notice in the released print and Charade is now in the public domain, says the Internet Archive.
It`s a Great movie! – posts Jeppe Kleyngeld, awarding it five stars and going on:
A recent widow (Audrey Hepburn) gets chased by three men claiming 250.000 dollars her late husband supposedly stole from the government. She gets help from the witty Peter Joshua (Cary Grant) but she is unsure if she can trust him. Very entertaining romance/thriller from Stanley Donen (Singin in the Rain). It has some good humour, clever plot twists and the cast is truly excellent. Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn are a magnificent combination. There is also a good supporting cast, including James Coburn and Walter Matthau. This movie is a classic and definitely recommended viewing.
PS: the credit sequence also rules.
That sound you hear is MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) mouthperson Dan `Jedi` Glickman grinding his teeth in anguish.
Check Internet Archives for all kinds of other ’safe’ downloads : )

Well, ya know…the movie has been on the archive for some time, but I think it’s great that you point fans of this site to the Internet Archive…Universal Access to Human Knowledge is about as great a rallying cry as I can imagine. Also check out the vintage cartoons, live music, etc. etc.

I was thinking about buying some of those copywrites free movies like the ones where the copywrites have expired and are in the public domain and sharing them online. (You can usually buy the dvd’s for about $1.00 at Wal-Mart. Can you do this legally w/o worrying about getting sued?

Let’s clear something up, this is not a Hitchcock movie, Stanley Donen directed this.

— this is not a Hitchcock movie—
You’re right. That’s what comes of trying to do too many things at once ; ) My apologies to Hitchcock and Donen fans.
Cheers!
