Jane Doe vs Big Music

p2p news / p2pnet:- Are you a journalist (or someone else) who’s following the fast-developing story of people refusing to be cowed by the music labels cartels as they try to sue men, woman and children into buying ‘product’?

The latest is slated to be heard in New York before Judge Robert W. Sweet at the Manhattan Federal Court, 500 Pearl Street, courtoom 18C.

Sweet will hear a Jane Doe motion to quash a Big Music subpoena in the Loud v Does p2p case that’s scheduled to be argued at 12:00 noon.

Be there and help educate the judge on just how important this case, and others like it, are.

Visit Recording Industry vs The People for documents.

And stay tuned.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win

- Mohandas Gandhi

Tired of being treated like a criminal? They depend on you, not the other way around. Don’t buy their ‘product’. Do bug your local political representatives. Use emails, snail-mail, phone calls, faxes, IM, stop them in the street, blog. And if you’re into organizing, organize petitions, organize demonstrations and then turn up on your local political rep’s doorstep, making sure you’ve contacted your local tv/radio station/newspaper in advance.

i don’t think members of the public gallery are allowed to just speak out in court. they’d be arrested. :(

A thief is a thief, and illegal downloading is just what Justice Bryer called it… “Garden variety theft”.
