When you say better alternatives, are you considering price, convenience, moibilty, features, ect… at ALL !!!

How can you store your movies on your Plasma.

How can you listen to your songs on your LCD.

And how much are you paying for this 42″ Plazma and LCD 22″ Monitor.

And these two items stay in one room in your house (or apt) and will never leave. They are telling you where to watch your movies. And you still are paying $ 000’s for them.

Dont hate technology just because it hates you…

Hehe. I personally don’t see the attraction of video units like this or the psp.

There are just so many better alternatives, like viewing on 48 inch plasma tv screens or LCD 22 inch PC Monitor. Why anyone would want to watch a movie on a crappy 2.5 inch screen is beyond me.

2.5 inch screen? wowwee! and quicktime? gee, that’s so unexpected? how modern and up-to-date of apple to think of these conveniences.

I’m going to stick with my symbian phone… I can upload two movies in divx format onto the card… well, in any format I choose. It’s a shame technology providers have to bolt us in like that and just create more hassle. By having to use quicktime, it’s not going to suddenly make people use one service over another. These days, there are just so many options out there, this business model is outmoded.

“USB 2.0 cable, case, dock insert and a CD with iTunes for Mac and Windows computers.” That is all you need. It would be really nice to see it told jst like that without all the bullshit.

Found an interesting little tidbit from Wired News about the new iPod:
“The video iPod will play music videos, video podcasts and movie trailers downloaded form the updated iTunes Music Store, but will not play movies ripped from DVD, which are typically copy-protected.

However, it will play unprotected movies converted to Apple’s QuickTime format, even if the movies are downloaded illegally from file-sharing services, said an Apple representative after Jobs’ presentation. It will also display home movies, which can be exported to the iPod via a new function in Apple’s iMovie software.”
