Spielberg’s new direction
p2p news / p2pnet:- Steven Spielberg is heading in a new direction to video games.
He`s agreed to develop three originals with EA’s Los Angeles studios, says the BBC, going on:
Work has already started on the first of the three projects, which EA says will be a next generation game which appeals to a broad audience.
The deal is a further sign of how Hollywood and the games industry are moving closer together.
No kidding.
Bill and the Boyz have talked Hollywood into turning their Halo video game into a movie, and even TakeTwo, creator of the despicable Grand Theft Auto series, wants to see its efforts on the Big Screen.
Spielberg, 58, has made blockbuster movies such as ET, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Raiders of the Lost Ark, says the Beeb. The Oscar-winning director is said to be a passionate and avid gamer.
EA will own the intellectual properties on the games and will develop, publish and distribute them worldwide, adds the story.

- Spielberg sucks, he didn’t make any good film for a long time and they’re expensive ones, money that should be used for the good of all humanity not just fucking Hollywood billionaires.
and most of them haven’t change much from the 2005 versions, nice done EA, what cash-cows you’ve made in 10 years !
- EA sucks a lot, they’ve never been able to make anything else that abusing their licensing monopoly, just look at the 06 sport games, they’re so lame, I wonder if I got a >1 GHz computer or a PSX
