ccMixter remix winners
p2p news / p2pnet: Creative Commons and Magnatune have announced the winners of their Lisa DeBenedictis Remix Contest which ran on ccMixter from June 15, 2005 to July 31, 2005.
There were thirteen winners because Magnatune increased the number of winning entries from 10, as originally planned, to 15.
Why? Because there were so many high-quality remixes.
All winners are signed to a Magnatune standard "non-evil" recording contract and will be included on a forthcoming Lisa DeBenedictis remix album to be sold commercially, they say.
Artists’ share (50% from the first sale) will be split between the winners and the artists they sampled.
In no particular order, the winners were:
- hiphop holiday (stoner rap mix)
by sHORT fACED bEAR - Zapture Loop
by Monty Arnold - Wadidyusay (Beatgorilla’s 28 grams REMIX)
by Pat Chilla The Beat Gorilla - out of my way
by Prof. m.Stereo - freemix-simplemix
by Cezary Ostrowski - My Fair Hiphop (Challenge Mix)
by VEGO - DANGEROUSE
by ASHWAN - Revolve
by hisboyelroy - counterfeit funk ( the open source conspiracy )
