China blocks Wikipedia

p2p news / p2pnet: On October 19 Communist China published a white paper covering human rights and grass-roots democracy in urban and rural areas first for the country.

The paper, its first on the subject, was called ‘The construction of political democracy in China’ but, says Reporters Without Borders, that hasn’t stopped it from blocking access to Wikipedia, “whose popularity has been growing steadily in China”.

The site has been unavailable in several provinces including Shanghai since October 18, says RWB, going on that blocking the site of a free encyclopedia “to which anyone can contribute” violates of the rights of Chinese citizens to information.

“The authorities are censoring Wikipedia in the same way that they censor thousands of websites with information that strays from the official Chinese propaganda on certain issues as Tibet and human rights in China,” says RWB, adding:

“Internet users trying to visit the Wikipedia site since 18 October get an error message referring to temporary connection problems for unknown reasons. Wikipedia was previously blocked by the Chinese authorities in June and September 2004 because of dissident political content.”

This is understandable considering most of the Wikipedia postings are pro-hardcore-American-Israeli-Propaganda. Case in point, anything to do with IRAQ, WAR HISTORY, POLITICS, is utter Bullshit.

Anyone with half decent grasp of history can EASILY disprove and debunk it. The Tech stuff is more accurate and reliable. This is because most of the posters of techies… If you read SLASHDOT (sure you do), you’ll know what I’m referring to. The constant rah-rah-rah America is the best, EU/China is “evil”…etc. is self evident….

    read some alternative media…

September 11, 2001…. ARABs, the ARABS, the Friggin ARABS did it…. Yeah, and I shit gold and diamonds…. Look at the HARD FACTS…. 800 degrees Celsius Inferno?! — NO (see similar building in Spain by the SAME engineering firm that built the WTC was ENGULFED in flames, yet didn’t do the same thing), Plane impact brought-down by plane—- BS (see engineering designs…. it was designed to withstand TWO PLANES IMPACTS without collapsing), see WTC 7 (mmmm????? I’ll let you find more about that yourself)……

…..and from 911, we have Afghanistan & Iraq (soon to be Syra and Venezuela — Iran is military fortified and missles at strait of Hormuz… which means if USA/Israeli attacks Iran…;( )

….. Advice…. Don’t believe lamestream media, or me or anyone without actually looking at the ACTUAL EVIDENCE (evidence that is unmanipulated) and make informed scientific decisions for yourselves…

    Cheers!
