Finally something is being done about this modern scourge of society. I wish they would start busting Karaoke bars where I live. Then I wouldn't have to put up with drunken old hags with laddered stockings belting out Tina Turner 'classics' when I try to go out for a quiet pint. Who in their right mind could call that entertainment. Do you think people would actually go to listen to karaoke sober?.... No? I didn't think so. It's the Jerry Springer of live entertainment. Shooting for the lowest common denominator and managing even to fall short of that. Let's all laugh at those idiots who think they can still hold a tune after six rounds of Aftershock and a few pints. Squinting at the words with one eye squeezed shut, trying to eliminate the extra screens that are marching off into the middle distance. Grinning inanely at their mates.

But wait. I hope this doesn't mean they are gonna start coming after the old pub cover bands too. Now that is a setting where drunken 50yr old women with laddered stockings do become entertainment!! Unless of course one of them manages to capture you for a dance as you sneak past to the bar. I find spilling beer on them often allows you that valuable time to escape in such situations. Anyway, I digress.

Karaoke is Krime, Karaoke is Krime. I'm gonna make some banners, start me a petition. whee hee
