Oh GOD, if you are entertaining the thought of more Jane, you must follow your feeling. She is an icon, a godess of soul in music. She has changed me as a musician and so many others–musicians or not…yes, check out ‘Bound by the Beauty’ first, although everyone seems to think ‘When I was a Boy’ is the best starter, I think ‘BbtBeauty’ is so her, still and throughout her heartful career.

I’m guessing that you are younger than I am;-) (I was Born in 1968)

I became a fan in the 1980’s, with popular songs like “Mimi On The Beach”. I then reconnected in 2003 when we both participated in the Heritage Ministers’ forum on Copyright.

Siberry is an extraordinary woman, but her music is somewhat patchy. If you like Calling all Angels, you’ll probably like the whole of “When I Was A Boy”, so that would be a good place to start. I’m glad she’s offering her catalogue as MP3s, but at present CaA is the only free download on the site.

I know Calling All Angels was used in the movie Pay It Forward (where I first heard and loved the song), but that’s about all I know. I may go out and see what is available at the store because of this. Is her other music as good?
