HP’s Carly Fiorina blasts off
The lady who said, “There’s a law that states that our sense of right and wrong does not evolve as fast as our technology – Just because we can do wrong doesn’t mean we should – Just because we can steal music doesn’t mean we should” and called it Kazaa’s law, is now on a presidential commission.
Her name’s Carly Fiorina and she runs Hewlett-Packard.
Well, now she’s joining the Presidential Commission on the Implementation of United States Space Exploration Policy, says an Associated Press story here.
As HP’s boss, Fiorina has already made certain decisions that have endeared her to the entertainment industry.
HP’s Digital Movie Writer, used to record video tapes onto DVDs, already has ‘protection’ technology that stops consumers from copying unapproved VHS tapes and, “Soon that technology will be in every one of our products,” says Fiorina, also promising that HP will implement other customer-control technology into some of its products through broadcast flag.
And now it seems the Bush administration loves her too.
But Hollywood and Bush aren’t alone.
“Fiorina was also hand-picked, pardon our language, by California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to help with the Gropenfuhrer’s transition from Hollywood to Sacramento,” says Ashlee Vance here.
“And now we find Fiorina on Bush’s select list. It doesn’t taken an Itanium processor engineer to see where this agenda is heading.”

The strategy of HP is probably to seduce the music industry in order to construct a business with them in the future.

Where does Carly Fiorina get about what right and what’s wrong.
Shes said, “Kazaa’s Law states that our sense of right and wrong does not evolve as fast as our technology. Just because we can do wrong doesn’t mean we should. Just because we can steal music doesn’t mean we should.”
This coming from the VP of a top 500 company, whom I’m sure makes a seven figure salary. She might have a different opinion is she were asked; just because you can buy a multimillion dollar home doesn’t mean you should, just because you can horde millions of dollars a years doesn’t mean you should, just because you can fire US workers doesn’t mean you should.
If the common worker got paid more, then maybe they could then afford to buy the actual music instead of downloading it. Its seems to be really a class warfare issue, and her social justice is not helping. It’s borderline fascism.

>> whom I’m sure makes a seven figure salary
Actually, she makes an EIGHT-figure annual salary (approaching $12 Million, according to Forbes magazine), not counting perks such as executive jets (count ‘em, two), and piles of as-yet-unexercised stock options.
