Simply it is just too open to unwanted "additions". Much of that is because of user preferance settings but not all. Because the browser defaults to acceptance the user much choose and know what choices to make in order to secure the OS and the browser. Without making security default instead of choice, many users are left out in the cold by not understanding what is required to make security work. Microsucks for all their trumpting does nothing to inform those users what choices they should make and why they should make them. New users to the internet and to the OS have no clue and are purposefully left in the dark. As a result they wind up being like the mushroom.
