Man killed at 50 Cent movie

p2p news / p2pnet: Curtis Jackson, aka hip-hop artist 50 Cent, is said to have been saddened by the killing of a man in a Pennsylvania cinema where Jackson’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ movie was being shown.

“Sheldon Flowers, 30, was shot three times at the Loews Cineplex at West Homestead, near Pittsburgh, after an argument broke out between four people,” says the BBC.

Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ was based on 50 Cent’s life. He was “shot nine times, spent time in prison and dealt drugs,” says the story.

“Flowers and one other person fired the shots, but police have no suspects yet,” says Reuters. “Flowers was carrying an unregistered gun without a permit, Berger said. The victim had a criminal record, the officer added without giving details.

“John McCauley, a spokesman for privately held Loews, said the film was pulled in that location only as a precaution and that it was unclear whether the shooting was linked to any violence portrayed in the movie.”

Lyrics from Blood Hound on the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ album:

50 Cent, that’s my name
Man I ain’t fuckin’ playin’
I move on you wit’ that Mac mayn (Mac mayn)
Come off, now watch your chain
Fo’ I blow out your brains
Shells hit your chest go out your back mayn (back mayn)
See me I put in work, man I been doin’ dirt
For so long when niggas get laid out (laid out)Niggas run through my crib, to holla at the kid
That’s when I start bringin’ them thangs out (thangs out)
Then we go through the strip, hangin’ up out the whip
Dumpin’ clips off at they whole clique mayn (clique mayn)
When witnesses around, they know how we get down
So when the cops come they ain’t see shit mayn (shit mayn)
My soldiers slangin’ ‘caine, sunny, snow, in sleet or rain
Come through the hood and you can cop that (cop that)
I’m sittin’ on some change, G-Unit gots the game
Come through here stuntin’ you get popped at (popped at)

I love to pump crack, love to stay strapped
Love to squeeze gats but you don’t hear me though
I love to hit the block, I love my two Glocks
Love to bust shots but you don’t hear me though

50 Cent’s Just A Lil Bit is currently number 10 on p2pnet’s Music File Share Top Ten R&B and Hip-Hop chart.

    damn.. :(

  2. Reader's Write Says:

50 Cent is just another low life punk who wil be dead or in prison in the near future. People shouldn’t see how stupid movie. Peopel shouldn’t whine about how tough life is so much. He should just make something of his life rather than glorifing the meaningless violence that nearly killed him. Hey, wanna not get killed? Don’t deal drugs. Don’t carry a gun and shoot at people. Don’t join a gang. Instead, get an education. Get a job and get a life.

  3. Reader's Write Says:

Darn right! Personally, I think 50 Cent should be arrested for his lyrics. Let’s face it, if he wrote about terrorism in the same way he writes about drugs and gun crime he’d be arrested. Ban his music and force him to get a job that isn’t corrupting the worlds youth.

The victim had a criminal record, the officer added without giving details.

“John McCauley, a spokesman for privately held Loews, said the film was pulled in that location only as a precaution and that it was unclear whether the shooting was linked to any violence portrayed in the movie.”

    Ya think?

If you associate yourself with violence, it is sure to catch up to you. Hell why don’t I just dress like a gang member and carry a gun and go to the hood. If I get shot, should I while about it? Hell no. If I did (wouldn’t happen) it would be something like this, “I got shot in the hood toting my gat, saggin like a bat, smoking a fat, representing all thats fat”. “Yeah I got shot, I was wearing all red, showing my signs, pocket full of money, ya know I got that”.

  5. Reader's Write Says:

Glad to see the write to free speech is being upheld here.

  6. Reader's Write Says:

    right*

  7. Reader's Write Says:

Sounds like fiddy got some free publicity.

  8. Reader's Write Says:

The man made some mistakes in his past. Sure, and he owned up to it. For what it is worth, he changed.

This gun fight happened in the USA. Even though it was at a showing of his movie, don’t go assuming the argument was “inspired” by the movie.

I don’t like his music, but I don’t make WILD stupid accusations either.

How many people of died at rock concerts (not including drug overdoses) and soccer games?? Quite a few. And we don’t go about labelling music concerts and athletic games as “evil” now do we?!

    Just my 2 cents.

  9. Reader's Write Says:

why do scum like this get their own movies the bastard should still be in prison being buggered by big bubba!

  10. Reader's Write Says:

I agree that 50 cent should have every right to spew his garbage. It is call Free Speech. However, copyright law allows limited benefits for creators of work that is BENEFICIAL to society. In my humble opinion, stuff that corrupts the mind of youth sould not have the benefits of copyright. As long as evil profits people or looks like it is beneficial, it will be practiced. One way to clean up popular culture is to allow stuff like this to be freely copied, distributed, and cammed. If this was allowed, the revenue from the movie would not make up for the cost of production.

I agree with the cartels that filesharing hurts SOME of the producers of works, however, it does not hurt the producers of all works. Trading in stuff that is no longer in the stores does no harm to the cartels. However, trading in new releases can hurt the cartels. Why? because the cartels charge too much for their product, that’s why.

As far as on poster making a statement about 50 cent getting an “education” and finding a real career, I wish young people good luck in doing that. I know that after I spent several thousands of dollars on getting my degree, I found my trade “outsourced” to a third world country. Here in the P.S.A. the only careers that I know will remain lucrative are prison or law enforcer careers, various medical fields, or the undertaking (funeral) business. The rest will be shipped to places where slave labor can be used.
