The only difference I see between a Democrat and Republican is that each make different campaign promises. Once they are in, they basically do the same thing. They vote by fiat for the stuff that their paymasters tell them to vote for. It would matter if the law states that if the Republicrats have a majority in either house that they cannot run candidates for the other house or for president. You could have an entirely Republican, house, and independent Presidency and a Democratic senate, and things will remain exactly the same, they will continue to work the bidding of their paymasters. As far as campaign finance reform, they can pass enough laws to make just about any campaign finance contribution illegal, but some lawyer for the cartels would find away around the law. America would have to become a much more repressive than it already is in order for campaign finance "reform" to actually work. Even then it would only apply to the independents.

Here are the real facts:

Talk to the "Jesus Freak" Republican faction and explain to them that the Constitution Party is primarily Christians who will really push for the changes that Christians want. So far, the republican side of the lamescream political party has not done much at all for the "Jesus Freaks." In fact, Bush has appointed more homosexuals (I'm not stating that I dislike homosexuals, but am merely pointing out a fact) to office than nearly any other President in American history. The Republicans also do everything they can to aid an industry that spreads porn and violence - namely the "entertainment industry." The republican side of the party hides behind a veneer of morality when in fact they do just the opposite of what they preach.

The Democrat faction is no better. When President Clinton ran for office the first time, he promised to do something about the flood of cheaply made goods from slave-labor using China. The fact is that when he got into office, he helped open the floodgates to Chinese made goods. Clinton is also responsible for the flow of military secrets to a repressive regime (China). Clinton promised all these things about protecting th American worker while once in office, he sold the Amwerican worker down the road. The Democrat side of the political party hides behind a veneer of protecting the small guy and they do the opposite once in office. I would recommend the Green Party and the Reform Party to those who tend to vote for the Democratic side of the party.

If you like the fact that good American jobs are shipped overseas to those who only get a small fraction of a fair wage, the fact that our country is bleeding money, the fact that our Constitutional and human rights are ROUTINELY IGNORED by GOVERNMENT, you just keep voting for members of the Democratic-Republican PartY. I want to regain my freedom. Both the Democrat and Republican side of the mainstream Party have at tiomes held the majority leadership in government, yet both faction have refused to turn things areound when they had the power to do so. Each side may have a different name and operate under a different charter, but they are both effectively EXACTLY THE SAME. I have only seen decline under the majority rule of each "faction" of the political PARTY. It is time for people like JTBarrell to realize that arguing for the current political PARTY does not help Americans regain their freedom. I wouls also like to point out that the SAME CARTEL usually gives money to BOTH SIDES of the political PARTY. We have got to get this party out of office and replace it with one that has not yet become corrupted by the big money form the cartels.

You both are missuing a very salient point, probably the MAIN point: scale.

You see, it does not matter if 20% of the voting public votes Libertarian, 20% votes Green, and 20% votes Constitutional...if 40% vote Republican in block. That 40% Republican vote is perpetual, it is the "jesus-freak" voting block that always sucks Repugnantone cock since they luvz them sum jesus...at least when the cameras are rolling.

Despite the seeming, and certain, similarities between Repugnatones and Demoncrats, there are some telling differences. Most of these differences are becasue of the sepperate party philosophies. Repugnatones will only campaign for a candidate if they tow the party crack-line 100%, deviation from the jesus-freak anti-humanity war-mongering hypocritical lying mantra of the party IST VERBOTTEN! On the flip side, the Demoncrats only requirement is "want to be a member of our party?"

This means that you get asshole Dems a lot, but you also get GOOD Dems in the mix as well. You will NEVER get a "good" Repugnantone, all of the even so-so Rep party has since jumped ship...to the Dems!

Here is what needs to happen, to get to the happy 3-party state (the only real way of both insuring needed actons take place, and that no one party can sieze power):

#1: In all House, Senate, and Presidential races vote Democrat. It is a necessary interim step, just to get the Repugnatnones completely out of power so that thier jesus-freak block breask up once it is obvious "god has left them".

#2: Vote whatever party your conceince decries for the various House seats in the following elections, even Repugnantones.

#3: If there is no Repugnantone majority in the House, vote for non-Rep/Dem candidates ONLY in the next Senate election. If there IS a Repugnantone majority in the House, repeat step #1 until that damn jesus-freak block gets the FUCKING message...or dies off so we don't have to listen to their "left behind" bullshit anymore.

#4: Vote for president from one year to the next the candidate with the most House seats, who IS NOT a Rep or a Dem. If at ANY time either the House or Senate has a single party in its majority, fall back to step #1 treating the current majorty party as Repugnantones.

If you can get through Step #4 successfully, which will in all likelihood take about 30 years (time enough for the hard-core jesus-freak block currently in power to die off), you can maybe get some actual worthwhile REFORMS through. My suggestions:

#1: Campaign Finance Reform...the one and ONLY law shall be "nobody can donate cash, goods, or service to a campaign whose value is greater than $10 in 2004 money; donating more is a Class C Felony". Problem solved ;)

#2: Corporations ARE NOT PEOPLE! Corporations do not have bodies to fight for our freedom, they do not have freedom to take away when laws are disobeyed, they do not have conceinces to annoy them when they are being bad, they do not have lifespans that show they will die no matter how bad they are...repeal the FICKING law that gives them 4th-amendment rights! That law was enacted specifically to protect sharecroppers from virtual enslavement, and has been used over 50 times more often by corporations!

#3: Enact a law specifically stating that no party that has a majority of seats in EITHER the House or the Senate can run candidates in either nor in the presidency until thier majority is gone, except incumbents. Poof! No more single-party threat.

#4: Enact a law stating that whenever you are on the floor of Congress, or standing before the seal of the President, you are under oath. This same law should allow for private citizens to sue for criminal charges anybody who is caught lying under such circumstances...acountability to the people!

Of the other important issues (partizan vote counting, electronic voting machines, basic privacy rights, and so on), laws already exist. New laws are not really required...the CURRENT laws just need to be enforced!

Federal election law automatically invalidated any election in which it can be shown that the electorate had "uneven access to voting capacity", or where the people counting the vote "have provable predisposistions in affiliation, and record of public statement of same". If this law had actually been ENFORCED then there never would have been aby Florida 2000 or Ohio 2004!

Federal election law also states that there must be "open and transparent public accountability in vote taking and counting". This means that the person counting the vote must be 100% assured that their vote is as tamper-proof, and verifiable, and humanly possible while maintaining their privacy. An electronic voting machine is niether of these things, and therefore violates federal law. So why the FUCK are they beign used?!?!?!

The Bill of Rights specifically states that an individual (not "non-felon", or "american", but ANYBODY) has a right to security in thier person and papers. This is what is usually referred to as the "right to privacy", but has far greater and deeper impact than this. It means that NOBODY has the right to so much as peek in your windows (anti-peeping tom laws), read your mail (mail tampering), listen to your private conversations (phone tapping and data transmission protection), or...and this is the big one...tell you what you can or cannot do with your own body. This right not only insures that you have the RIGHT to an abortion, but ALSO the RIGHT to not have a 2-ft long antena shoved up your ass, and a power pack strapped to your testicles in order to keep track of you "for your own safety". Tampering with ANY aspect of this right endangers ALL aspects of it... So to any of you anti-abortion zealots out there: I'll give up my right to an abortion AFTER you give me all your banking info, house keys, car keys, a night alone with your kids and a hacksaw, and you show me that you can put an entire 2-ft-long metal rod "in a VERY uncomfortable place" (to quote Mall Rats).

Sincerely (and angrily),
JTBarrell

The above Reader/Writer is 100% correct!

Do NOT vote Republican or Democrat. Send a powerful message to the world! Neither party is representing the PEOPLE!

The so-called “Patriot” Act is nothing more than a sellout of our civil rights – an abrogation of the first ten Amendments to the Constitution. Without those 10 Amendments, we would never have become the great Republic we are, because the original colonies refused to ratified a Constitution which did not include guarantees for the protection of civil and human rights.

Yet 99 out of 100 Senators voted to suppress YOUR rights!!! And even now, when they have a chance to rectify the situation, they have deliberately and conscientiously decided to extend the suppression of those rights. These people do not represent ME. Do they represent you?

The same holds true for the recent spate of laws governing the entertainment world’s insistence on excessively repressive copyright laws. Representatives simply vote they way they are told to vote by the people who line their war chests.

Well, tell them that money will no longer get them elected! The people get them elected. Show them by voting for any candidate on the list of parties shown in the previous post.

But write them letters. Short emails will suffice. Simply tell them, in your own words, expressing your own thoughts that because they insist on representing big business over the interests of the average American, let’s see if big business and its money can get them elected or reelected.

Tell everyone you know. Do what you can, no matter how much or how little, no matter if it seems like an uphill battle. Most all, use the most powerful tool at your disposal – your single vote. One tiny, little vote. People who say to themselves that “my one vote won’t make a difference” under-rate themselves. (Aside from those illegal ballot box stuffers, who has more than one vote?)

Your second greatest weapon is your ability to tell others WHY you are going to vote against the established political parties. Encourage them to think – nothing more: simply THINK about whether or not their reps are truly representing them.

This whole thing with Sony BMG might never have come to light had it not been for you and me and the other INDIVIDUALS who have made the choice to express ourselves on the Web, ONE VOICE AT A TIME, and of course because of those who will emerge as leaders – the Russinoviches and the Newtons.

My brother and his wife, both registered voters, used to think I was just blowing a lot of hot air. Now, they are paying attention. They have stopped going to the movie rental store once a week, and I am certain that by November 2006, they will vote the Libertarian Party. My one vote has become three. And who knows, they might influence others between now and then.

Take a stand. Take back your rights as Americans.

Voting MAY make a difference IF AND ONLY IF people smarten up and stop this so called "voting for the lessor evil". If you vote for any member of the Democrat-Republican Party in order to keep another candidate from the Republican-Democtar Party from winning, all you have done is voted in or kept the candidate of the ONE AND ONLY MAINSTREAM PARTY in office. In order to make a diference, people have to vote for memebrs of OTHER parties besides the Republican-Democrat PARTY. I do not agree with what each party's platform, but I still list the party that I am aware of just so people may have an informed opinion in order to make a choice:

Constitution Party http://www.constitutionparty.com

Libertarian Party http://www.lp.org

Veteran's Party http://www.veteransparty.us

Reform Party http://www.reformparty.org

Green Party http://www.gp.org

Socialist Party http://www.sp-usa.org

If there are any members of the parties above running for office in your area, please vote for them if you agree with their platform. People from parties other than the Democrat-Republican party actually have a chance of winning this time because blogging and Internet news is catching on at a fast rate. If there is any candidate of one of these parties that you agree with, please campaign, spread the word or contribute money to help him or her get elected. Blog their names and platforms so that they can be heard. The Democrat-Republicans can just buy their way onto media because of all the bribes they receive from the cartels. It is about time for people who have not sold theirselves to the cartels to get some recognition. The only way they are going to get recognition is if people like US WHO READ AND WRITE blogs make other people aware that there is actually a choice!!! It is especially important to reach those who stay home on election day because those are the people who are likely to vote for someone other than the LameScream political party.

Libertarian Party http://www.lp.org

Veteran’s Party http://www.veteransparty.us

You really think it matters who we have in office? The RIAA/MPAA has more than enough old Congressmen in their pocket to influence any new members put in their place and the President, well, sorry to say, it's wag the dog - I dont really feel like the President has any power - the President does whatever their advisers tell them to....

Yeah, we've had good Presidents but when votes can appear out of nowhere (Florida and others) to sway who wins the Presidency, then it doesn't matter who we vote for - the person who can influence the most errors in their favor will win.
