Literary podcasts

p2p news / p2pnet: A Canadian publisher has picked up on podcasting as a way to get people interested in books.

British Columbia’s Raincoast Books has launched a new series of podcasts featuring interviews and readings with its authors.

"The literary podcast series will include material from the 2005 Vancouver International Writers and Readers Festival," says the CBC.

"The first podcast is a reading and interview with Washington-state based author Jim Lynch, about his book Highest Tide, the story of a 13-year-old who sets off a media frenzy when he discovers a giant squid."

Raincoast says it’s planning up to 15 podcasts in 2006.

sooo according to an earlier article here…shaw and rogers are not allowing these podcasts to be recived by their users? Is this a valid statment?
