Okay, come on now, I know representatives from multiple IP interest groups are reading this site - indulge me in the only way I believe you're going to get 'real' p2p users contributing to your eye popping masses of riches.

Give the digital music away for what appears on the surface to be 'free'. There is a lot you can do from there if your smart (your trillionaires, I'm guessing your management team have a cumulative IQ greater than a chimp to go with it)..

-Advertising at the beginning/end of songs
-Daily session keys, so you could have people come to your site and look at advertising to enable their ip to play the 'free' music.
-Work with p2p designers to track data on usage of the 'product'.

You see, you could leave music open to a global p2p, with the understanding that people would visit a central site you all own to push your advertising out - earning money while leaving music 'free' in the eye's of the people.

Now I don’t mean lock them down where they can’t be burned but be reasonable, at least 1 cd a week should be permitted in this 'free' setup.

Let's be honest, I've been involved in p2p for about 7+ years or so, and been backing my own cd's up since the first Fraunhofer codec's were released, exercising my fair use rights - but anyway not trying to start another endless debate over fair use, I want us all to move on....

Your 'for sale' format of online 'product' on various sites for a buck have failed and raising the prices as you have planed will only increase their failure.

Your executive teams chose to ignore us (p2p users/admins/ops/founders/whatever) when we warned this was all coming unless your structure changed and now I'm warning (advising) you as to what I see happening again - your format for online music will fail within 6-12 months, it will decline on sales as you increase prices and the near break-even value your getting will 'fail'.

It's time to accept that people don’t/wont pay for online music in a wide-scale. It's not going to change and as you sue people it's only going to push p2p into encrypted/anonymous p2p applications (antz/waste/mute) or into an undernet which I won’t get into since most people know what that is.

Your artists need to have concerts / to that end, they will 'always' make money but selling the music online, is dead.

Just my 10 cents.
